Yeah. I didn't care for it too much, myself. I thought it had too many "newer" cases and ignored some REALLY messed up cases from the 80's.

Are right! I got it for a christmas gift and I could not belive that they had every murder on only 4 dvds even for each of the other catogories who can you contact for this false advertisment? And the box that it came in is not the same box they have on display! If someone knows who to contact please let me no. Does any one remember the case when the handicap lady took her daughter to visit her exhusband and she took her sis along with them and they all vanished including the lil girl? And the ex's family said the dropped them off in a walmart parking lot an know one has heard from them ever since has anyone have an update on that case?

Wendy Camp. There was a thread about the case not too long ago. I think the consensus here is that Chad Noe and company were somehow responsible.

I don't believe they ever claimed to have every segment in each genre on the dvd's. I did notice that there were some different boxes floating around out there. The box I have for the best of collection is different that one I saw online.

you no mine is way different than the display 1 and cases that hold the c.d's are not the same they look like paper on the display but mine are plastic does yours have those brackets on each side that keeps the box open? an i noticed at the top of the display box inside it looks like it has velvet lining. o i figured because it said it was the ultimate collection i thought it had every episode ever made guess i was wrong......

yep! thats the one on display that im talking about i got it from amazon but they sent me a different one then what they are advertising its really cheap! the one they sent me. I dont no whats up with that....do you have it two?

As most of you probably know, I'm always on the hunt for original UM episodes. I've lost track of how many times I've asked on other boards and received responses like "get the ultimate collection, its has every episode". I'm not sure why some folks think it has everything.

It has everything not worth having ;)

What really ticks me off is that for these First Look DVD sets they used the "Lifetime" edits of the segments. They didn't even have the class enough to go back and give us the segments as they were originally broadcasted. All the edits that appeared on "Lifetime" are intact on these DVD sets. Baloney!

I had read that the segments were edited, but I didn't realize they were the same edits made for Lifetime. What a rip. I'm proud to say I never wasted any money on these sets. To this day I don't own any of them.

I'm confused as to what you want to complain about. Unless the source that sold the set outright lied about what was on it, than this isn't really a case of false advertising.

To answer your other question: No, I did not buy that particular collection. I purchased the individual boxsets (Bizarre murders, UFOs, Ghosts and so on) over the course of the past year.

I think I made it clear WHAT my complaint it is! It is not the same box that they are advertising it in on the inernet,its not the ultimate collection of every episode its not even. Close and I think that its miss leading people. And so I know this is the unsolved mysteris message boards for fans so that's why I signed up to get some answers and updates not an attitude!

I'm not giving you attitude, it's called asking for clarification.

If the item you ordered online is not the one that was sent to you, than the first thing to do would be to contact the seller or website you ordered it from and let them know.



If you're simply annoyed with the fact that they named it the "Ultimate Collection" without including every segment in UM history, I suppose you could send a complaint to the studio. Which is listed on Amazon as First Look Pictures.
