First off let me congratulate the giants & the fans on a fine defense of their title... I mean no disrespect by that at all... They won it all last year & had a very fine regular season but the eagles ended their hopes of a repeat with defensive authority today!!

Ok I swear on my future unborn children that I will never question this teams heart again... They have shut me up & made me look foolish.

I have been a fan of football for a very long time & i have never seen a team in my life that has SO MUCH heart... Everyone including the writer of this post left this team dead & buried after the bengals & ravens debacles... I was so down on this team, it was hard to imagine them winning another game let alone make the playoffs.. Then they BEAT THE SNOT out of arizona & the train left the station with a minor derailment in DC.....

I have been a fan of this team forever & Never before Have I ever got this I can't explain what is going on here feeling, but that is exactly what I have now... It is a feeling that make me get the surreal feeling that this team just will not lose another game this year... Feelings don't often mesh with real life, but I can't explain it but they seem to be on that once in a lifetime little streak at this moment...

It was a great atmosphere early on inside the stadium.... THe fans were actually loud for once & it did feel like a playoff game there, but as usual the fans don't stick with their boys when they really need them in big spots...

Both teams had wonderful defensive game plans, the difference is the eagles offense made the adjustments needed on that final drive of the 1st half.. I turned to my buddy at the beginning of that drive & said.. We need something postive out of this drive...ANYTHING

Prior to that drive the eagles offense was dazed & confused by the giants, BUT they made the good adjustments needed & turned it around.

I can not say enough about my teams defense... To hold that offense down in check for the most part is quite a feat... It really is.

Another telling stat..On december 7th when the eagles beat the giants they were 12-18 on 3rd down conversions...Today I believe we were 7-14... That is a pretty good number & teams who convert on 3rd down very often win football games.

Brian westbrook was taken out of this game... I credit The giants players & coaches for devising a plan to eliminate westbrook, but the eagles are more than westy.. They have a QB who just knows how to win, he buys himself a few extra seconds to find a guy downfield like on that 3rd & 20 pass to avant.... That was all number 5.....

I am so dam proud of this team, 7 weeks ago if you told me they would be in the NFC title game, I would have checked you into an insane asylum... But something is clicking right now & that clicking is the philadelphia eagles Heart, because win or lose the rest of the way, they prooved to me that they have hearts of champions.

It is on to Arizona & a date with the cardinals... For the right to go to the superbowl..... Unbelievable, truly unbelievable. It is unbelievable to me that 1 week from now I just may be on the doorstep of immortality!!!!!!

Spagnola the Defensive Genius was supposed to devise a plan to take Mcnabb and Westbrook out the game.

Mike, are you going to be traveling to Arizona next week, and possibly Tampa after that on your Eagles trips/journies?

The Eagles have been really impressive in the playoffs. They've made the most of their miracle of even making them. A win at Arizona is not out of the question. Will they be able to shut down their passing game? If the game was at Philly, there's no doubt that they would win but Arizona is tough at home.

Unlikely at this point. I am looking into it though.

Tampa on the other hand is a different story... I am hoping I win the season ticket holder lottery for superbowl tickets this week. If I don't & the eagles win I will find my way to the game somehow, someway.

Everytime you say the Cards would lose big, they don't.

You need to predict with your heart, not your head.

I kinda want the Eagles to win it all though.

Want my uncle to be really happy. Even though he is a baseball fan.

And you also said the Eagles got lucky, were lucky and were nothing.

I was flat-out upset about that game.

You could say I was as mad about yesterday's playoff game as you were about the World Series rain-out.

OK I see but I don't understand- what were you so mad about?

what were you so mad about?

That the Giants were playing into Philly's hands/trap.

The Eagles played their style of football, and the Giants fell right into their trap.

IMO, the Eagles went into the game yesterday thinking, "We've got them right where we want them."

Also did you see that pass that Eli threw that was picked off??

Am I the only who saw a QB who just threw the ball anywhere and didn't care where it landed as long as he didn't get hit by the defenders?

Pathetic.

We still went out and beat them FSU. Why are you so worried about the Giants losing or falling into "our trap" all of a sudden? You wanted the Giants to win right?

I don't think so after the cards won the previous night because a eagles win meant a home game for arizona in the nfc championship.

That's true Solomon, but FSU is so mad after the Eagles/Giants game, like either of the 2 teams mattered to him, when they don't.

I don't like to see these 5 or 6 seeds making deep playoff runs.

For years, I always grew up believing that the best team always wins.

Until this weekend, at least one #1 seed made every AFC or NFC Title game for years and years.

That doesn't matter though. The Eagles had a better record then Arizona, and Arizona was a 4th seed, cause they were in a bad division and won the division. What do you say to that?

Eagles- 6th seed that you hate- 9-6-1 before playoffs
Arizona- bad division- won division- 4th seed- 9-7
