(Jan. 10) - The banker on 'Deal or No Deal' is certainly a master manipulator, but apparently he's also a failed pickup artist. Howie Mandel spilled his shady partner's secret during an appearance on Thursday's 'Howard Stern Show.'
"There is a guy, he sits in the shadows, he is a banker and he has another job,' Mandel says.
"I read this chick online. (She says) 'This guy's trying to (sleep with) me. On so-and-so night, I was at this bar and -- this is the lamest, most stupid line -- he told me he was the banker on 'Deal or No Deal' and I told him to go f--k himself and I walked out.' Now I know the guy and I know he was at that bar and I know it was him. He can't even use that line."
Stern asked if NBC will ever allow the banker to show himself, but Mandel doubts it.
"I know when he goes to a bar he finds a light panel and he stands in front of it," Mandel laughed. "Maybe his silhouette will be recognizable."
Mandel also admits that he feels badly for contestants who chose not to accept big deals and go on to lose big bucks.
"I think there's a show. (NBC) will never do it ... there are grown men crying in the fetal position saying why the f--k did I listen to you," Mandel says of the scene backstage as couples fight after a major loss.
