I live in Chicago, so no it's not nice and warm, unfortunately. Getting hit with more snow today and we're in for arctic temps next week.

Come on, April....

It's snowing real hard here. So hard that I made a parody song called "Snowy". (Originally the song is "Stormy" by Classics IV).

1-There was once sunshine, and the temperature's warm.
But it just snowed all day.
Now it's just white-outs and a blizzard has come.
And it's all cloudy and grey.
Another bad day.
Oh, snowy. Oh, snowy.
Bring back that summer again!
2-Before the New Year there was a warm summer breeze.
But two weeks later, it's changed.
Now Christmastime is over
and my Christmas stuff's put away.
It's now snow, sleet, and frozen rain.
It's such a pain in the ass.
Oh, snowy. Oh, snowy.
Bring back that summer again.
(Sax Solo)
Oh snowy, Oh snowy.
Bring back that summer again.
(Repeat 'till fade).

I'll put this on amiright.com as soon as I can.

Hey Janice, did you ever buy Solomon the green snuggie like you promised him? I wouldn't mind having one myself - I'm freezing!! Another Clevelander here, in the snowbelt. I haven't left the house once today. I've just been lying around the house, watching TV shows on DVD and :typing: away here at SO.

Ugh, it's FREEZING here in NY, too. Not nearly as cold as Alaska, I'm sure, but cold enough. It's about 16 degrees out right now...I can't stand it.

The best thing about cold weather is making warm comfort food. Like Grandma's chicken vegtable soup, or chili and corn bread. Whatever your favorites might be. :D Stay warm.

30 below!! Wow! That puts my complaints about it being 50 degrees in the morning to shame. It's not my fault though...a lifetime in southern California is to blame.

I am in the process deciding whether or not I want to move out of state and recently experienced below 0 weather, and I must say: No thank you! As much as I would like to experience four seasons, I will do just fine with the 2 1/2 we currently have here. I will pass on the cold, being snowed in, and being stuck indoors because the roads are frozen. No thank you.

Well winters here can be cruel or not it depends, Like a four year cycle next summer this summer it is going to be nice the sun seta at 12 then comes up about 1am, I will show u some pics of my town Kenai, about 10.000 people we do have stores Wall mart opens up 2010 yqaaa lol. Right now it 's a cool 20 degrees, but this past saturday morning in a nother town like Kenai Soldotna about 12.000 souls someone found a body of a women who had passed away the temp was well below 20-. But in Anchorage they have street people ,but it's a big city and they have van drivers to pick up the homeless and take them to the hospital mostly native of alaska but, there all kinds of people homeless, I am lucky to have a apartment and working i get rides because I work about 5 miles from a program.I like it here in the winter it does go by slow but, we have 5 months I hate when naraters on natures shows that says it 9 months of snow and native at the north pole live in igloos and eat whale blubber which they do if they go hunting but,not to live, the price is going down now it is 255 a gallon it may go up in some parts it is still 500 or 10 bucks a gallon unleade and leaded. But the summers here are fantastick not to hot around 75-80 it rains also, I may move to MO or Whas one day but for now Alaska in this teopica head wave we are having right now I will stAY.
