Unforgiveable

This drama series centers around the family of Aaron Danes, the 19-year-old Sterling Heights, Michigan mass murderer who went on a shooting rampage at the mall killing 9 victims and then taking his own life. The series takes place a year after Aaron (played by Max Thieriot, in flashbacks)'s highly-publicized massacre went down in history as the sad day for the city of Sterling Heights, Michigan. Aaron's family, who's taken the most guilt for his actions over the past year, consists of his father, Richard Danes (Tate Donovan), his mother, Sarah Danes (Toni Collette), his sister, Alyssa Danes (Caitlin Wachs), and his brother, Justin Danes (Logan Lerman). Richard is a former dentist who was driven out of business due to the lack of loyal patients, since his son's tradegic event has taken place. Sarah is a hardworking yet terribly guilt-ridden office manager for a local real estate agency. Alyssa, 18, is a high school senior, and Justin, 16, is a high school sophomore. Alyssa and Justin has suffered a lot of scrutiny and blame after the word of their brother's sudden incident got around. Even though the Danes family has felt like they are "shunned" from everybody else in town, there are a few people who have stuck by the family in their time of need. Alyssa and Justin are supported by the school's guidance counselor, Ms. Rebecca Chase (Tina Fey) who helps them through their difficult time before/during/after school and really feels for the family when others turn their back on them. Also, Justin's longtime best friend, Alex Suarez (Luis Armand Garcia) has stuck to his buddy's side through it all, as well as continuing his lifelong secret crush on Alyssa. Alex's widowered dad, Bobby Suarez (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) has been a helpful and supportive friend to both Richard and Sarah, and has begun an emotional affair with Sarah since the day of Aaron's destruction at the mall. Also, Aaron's former girlfriend, Carrie Madsen (Brittany Robertson) who holds a considerable portion of the guilt, because she feels Aaron did that after learning from Carrie that she wanted to take a break and see other people. Carrie is a close friend of Alyssa's and is a high school senior too, who was always accepted into the Danes family. Watch how the Danes family and their friends cope with everyday life a year since Aaron went on a shooting rampage at the mall killing 9 random people and then himself.
