She's the woman who was beaten to death with a hammer while she and her fiance, Jeremy Rolfs, were selling a computer. A man named "Tom Johnson" attacked them in a motel room. Jeremy survived the attack, but died in a car accident about 5 years later.

Anyway, I decided to Google Heather Uffelman and this came up: http://www.reunion.com/heather-uffelman (http://www.reunion.com/heather-uffelman-OAK-PARK-IL-.FLOWTOCADIPP.-2580288367)

I'm not a member of that site, so I can't get much info, but isn't that strange? The Heather Uffelman from UM was living in Murfreesboro, TN and buried in Erin, TN. Her age on the profile is 39 and if I'm not mistaken, that's how old Heather would be today. Why does a dead woman have a profile on reunion.com? Of course I'm assuming it's the same woman from UM, but I doubt there are a bunch of women running around her hometown with the same name.

I'm not going to lie, I find that really creepy because I don't believe that Heather Uffelman is a common name.

Insomnia had me looking at classmates.com a couple of weeks ago. On it was listed a girl I grew up with and attended high school with. She was killed in an accident about 18 years ago, but the listing shows as "new". I know its probably a family member, but it still shook me up when I saw it.

The profile is gone today. Maybe someone told reunion.com that Heather is dead. I can understand there being profiles for people who have recently died, but for people who were dead before we had the Internet is strange.

That is eerie.

I think someone posted on here a while back saying that Heather's fiancee, the one who survived the attack (can't remember his name), has since been killed in a car accident. If thats true what a sad ending to an already very sad case. :(

Here's the story: Battered Dreams, Part 4: Interlude -- Jeremy and Heather (http://www.truecrimeweblog.com/2007/04/battered-dreams-part-4-interlude-jeremy.html)

I'm sure it's someone who wanted to set up a profile on Reunion.com but didnt' want to leave their real name. I think it's kinda messed up to use an actual person, but I guess there's no accounting for taste.

Personally, when I try to stay anonymous, I go for the "Jane Doe" routine. :)
