It's known that Whitney Houston was considered for the role of Sandra but she was busy singing and modeling. But looking back Whitney or even Robin Givens would have looked more like one of the kids than Sabrina. Sabrina is very pretty but she never looked right in the role. Lisa Bonet also looked like the odd man out a little, but Sabrina more so. Just my opinion of course.
I wonder if Robin Givens would have played Sandra the character would have been different?:confused:
I also heard that the Miss America runner up audtioned too. (I forgot her name...Suzanne something.. she was crowned after the Vanessa Williams scandal)

Yeah I wonder that too everytime I watch...Sabrina just seems like she is the Huxtables "adopted" child!

Robin Givens.

I am kinda used to Sabrina in the role. I guess I could see Robin in the role but then Lisa would look like the odd, light child. I liked Sabrina and Lisa in the roles. I think Whitney's portrayal would have been too strong for Elvin.

That's kinda what I was thinking...Robin would've given a softer performance than Whitney, but I can't see anyone else but Sabrina playing Sondra...nor any other actors in the roles of the characters we have come to love. I think everyone was perfectly cast!!! :)

I think Whitney Houston would have been interesting in the role. Plus I think Whitney and Phylicia Rashad can pass off really well as mother and daughter since they sorta favor each other in the looks depart to me.
