View Full Version : Writing to cast members?

I figured in celebration of Happy Days 35th anniversary, I want to write to some of the cast members. I know for a fact that Ron Howard doesn't accept fan mail.

My question to you all is, which autographs do you have and what addresses did you use. Did any of them charge you (I know Erin Moran does)?

P.S. If you don't want to post the fan mail addresses here, send me a PM.

I'm still crossing my fingers that Anson and Don will reply (they're the only ones I haven't heard from yet)! I like your autograph wall, Iris!

Write why you are writing. What you've seen with them. What you like. Or not. Maybe something about yourself. But the most important Thing is: Be honest!

Thank you so much! I've figured out what I want to say to Marion and Tom, but I'll have to figure out what to say to Don, Anson, and Erin...thanks again!

Here's the autograph I got from Henry! It's trimmed because the envelope I enclosed was a lot smaller than 9X12...

This might seem boring, but I actually spoke on the phone with Scott Baio and it went like this:

I ended up speaking to him when I was sending letters of poems to Renee Baio in the Bailey Baio Foundation to support families with GA-1 or OA infants, which are metabolic disorders. So I waited for two weeks and decided to call the area at this number you see here. As you notice of the Bailey Baio Foundation itself.

You see, the phone number...well, I decided after waiting for two weeks, I would probably get Renee again on the phone twice. Nice person on the phone. Very twangy accent, judging that she is from Tennessee, though. Southern hospitality, judging from her manner. Well, I called for the thrid time and then I got a familar Brooklynese accent: "Hello? Hello?" And I went like:
"Hi, Sir. This is Robert Lynch speaking. And I want to thank you for the effort you put into the foundation as well as being such a supporter for families with infants that have these metabolic disorders. I love how you and your wife have the courage to speak up and bring forward to this organization for other families to get involved with. It shows what great hearts you both have." After saying that, Scott took a moment and said, "Wow, that's very nice of you to say that and I really appreciate your compliment. I usually get death threats and haters from this line, but this is one I shall remember the most." And I said, "No problem, Mr. Baio." And then he was wandering which person did I spoke recently to and I went on that Renee responded to me on October 2007 about my "Precious, Precious" before the start of the foundation. He said, "She is in charge of that and I'll put you through. Nice speaking to you." And I said, "You, too. Bye." And that was it. Thanking Scott and there was Renee for the third time. So, on Monday, I am trying to see if some of poems can be published on their website or by helping Scott with his 30 and 60 second promo on radio for the webpage itself. I was thinking a lot of things as to what I can I do to help this non-profit organization.

That's so cool that you got to talk to Scott Baio!
