Reported in the Minnesota Star Tribune that Childress and his staff will return next season.

Very Surpring, since he was too DUMB to start Gus Ferotte in the Playoffs

Let me get this straight:

You think a coach that had 10 wins and a division title should be fired?

Somehow, Jim Haslett, whose team lost 10 games IN A ROW is not fired.

Some coaches should get axed; other shouldn't.

I'm not surprised lol.

His team he coached won the division this year, and they won 10 games.

Playoff loss or not, he deserves one more shot. Good to hear.

Ok I will take that back, he has improved the Vikings each season since 2006

2006-6-10
2007-8-8
2008-10-6

So basically he has to make the playoffs again next season to save his job. Not sure if he will have to win in the playofs but the Vikings defintely can't have a losing record next season

Yeah I agree with you. If he wins the division, wins 10-11 games, or even more wins, that would help him, and makes the playoffs, that would be good. He has to win a playoff game or two to ultimately stay after next year though I think. But he has improved them since his first year coaching.

I never thought he was that great of a coach. Benching Gus Ferotte was just stupid. They have a great team that could compete for a SB if they could find a decent QB. He needs to go find one or he will be fired next year.

Benched a man who was 9-3 as a starter-lol

I don't think he should be fired anyway. The Vikings overachieved, and they don't have a QB yet to take them all the way.

I've never thought I'd see the day when Gus Ferotte was the incumbent starter on any NFL team.

The Vikings need "Sage Rosenfels"

Do you think he'd be interested in backing up Romo if the Vikings don't want him anymore? We'll take anybody.

I would take Sage Rosenfels over Romo-lol

I love the way he plays, strong arm, accurate, and mobile

If he went there, the Redskin fans would definitely boo him when he came to town. LOL

Did you see the Colts game when he GAGGED away a 17-point lead with time running out?

I wouldn't want him on my high-school team!

The only mistake he made was jumping in the air while scrambling

I am not even suprised, he deserves to come back for 1 more year after going 10-6 and winning the division and is improving each year but if we don't make the playoffs next year then I can see Brad getting fired
