On Foxsports it's stated that he is close to signing deal with the Rays. Never thought a player from a Team who won the WS would sign with the team they beat in the WS.

Well story just broke on ESPN, Burrell signed a
2 year deal with the Rays

I'm happy for Pat. I thought he was going to come back, and take less money since we won it all, but we signed left fielder and all-star Raul Ibanez in the off-season, then I knew Pat's time was over in Philadelphia. Very sad day. I will miss this guy. Just a team player, a nice, class guy and took so much heat in Philly, then finally got a ring, it was awesome to see him go out like that. And I'm so glad he went to an American League team in the Rays. I'm glad he didn't go to any one team in the National League, or to the Yankees, Red Sox, Blue Jays or anybody else. I'm perfectly happy and content with him going to TB and I am rooting for them to face us again in the WS next year. Let's go! Best of luck to TB and Pat next year. I'll still be looking at and keeping up with his stats. I heard he signed a 2 year 16 million deal.
