I'm in S.Calif. actually on vacation and we had heard of Madeo's in W. Hollywood, and how celebrities eat there all the time. So we decided to eat there although it was more than I would usually spend at a restaurant, but to me I say what the heck. It's just one time.

So where we were sitting, my sister was the look-out. She was facing where she could see people coming in. She was checking EVERYBODY out. Suddenly she says "It's Bob Newhart!", and she said it so softly as to not cause attention to herself. I kept saying "Who?" because I didn't want to turn around to cause attention to myself!!

They seated Bob & his wife at a table right near us, and where I was sitting I was facing him. To go to the bathroom, you had to pass his table. Another couple joined them for dinner. We always try to be respectful meeting celebrities, so I wasn't going to bother him while he was having dinner. So we got done, and we were just going to wait outside along with the papparazzi. We waited a little over an hour, and finally he came out. He & his wife were sooo nice!! We each got photos with him, I can't post them yet because I had to take them on one of those disposable cameras(my digital camera wasn't working too well:mad:).

So now I can add him to my list of the nicest celebrities I've met!!

Yes, that was very gracious of you, Andrea. A lot of people wouldn't have been that considerate.

fabulous ! can't wait to see the pics.....nice that you are nearby and can do those things. I have to fly if I want to get to an autograph show to see anyone !
