Some restaurants now charge you for water. We went out to eat on New Year's Day and I had a glass of Pepsi and then I had a glass of water. They actually charged for the water.

Any restaurants by you that charge for water?

Years ago they would automatically bring you water, for free. Then they started to ask first. Now you have to ask for it and you have to pay for it.

Not only that, there's some airline (I don't remember which one) that charges $2 for a simple cup of water. :mad: It's a shame.

I've gone to concerts and other events and had to pay $4 for a bottle of water :mad: For WATER! Water should be free everywhere.

I haven't been to a restaurant where they charge for water yet. If that ever happened, I can guarantee I would not go back.

It will become more common to have to pay for the water as population continues to rise, and fresh water supplies continue to dwindle.

I was at Taco Bell and they charge 5 cents for a glass of water but I am assuming that is paying for the paper cup.

The question here is, how many people actually do drink water instead of soda or beer?

I'd rather they ask you if you want water.
