season you always seem to pass over to watch something else?-lol I mean how many TC fans have really watched the season 1 DVd more than once??

That is like the worst season of the show and actually I may just sell my season one because I have no more intentions of ever watching it again

I agree that it was the worst season of the show, but would you really sell it? It wouldn't bother you to look over at your collection and see an incomplete series, especially of a show that IS complete on DVD? LOL

It's not that I hate it, but yes, I usually skip over it since it's so short and it has a different feel than the rest of the series. Usually when I want to have a marathon I'll pop in season 4 because that's my favorite season.

Yup season 4. Season 4 and 7 eps were the most fun to watch.

That's my favorite, too!! I think Season 4 is when the show really hit its stride.

I am obsessive compulsive about things, so when I go to watch a series, I always watch Season 1.

Last week, I started the 3's Company adventure over, I polished off Season 1 in one sitting.

I like the 1st season. Janet, that year, reminds me of an older Jo on "Facts of Life".

I think season 1 is okay. The two episodes that I really liked from that year were Man about the House (that was the pilot name, right?) and Roper's Neice.

I don't watch it as often as my favorite seasons, but I couldn't imagine not having season 1.

Hey bro, we think alike in more ways than one! I also agree the first season was the worst and even when TC reruns are on and they show season 1 episodes and I haven't seen TC in a while it's still hard to see.

I no longer consider that season the first season, I now look at it as the PILOT SEASON-lol

So to me Three's Company only has 8 seasons instead of 9

One thing I love about season 1--the version of the theme song! Sounds so tropical and lush :D

Things I hated about season 1

the theme song
the look of the apartment
the length of the season

I still watch Season 1 when I get in my Three's Company mood, I start with the very 1st episode and continue until the last episode even if it takes me a few weeks. I like seeing the progress of the show and characters.

I only have the first two seasons so far, but yeah, I would have to say that when I watch TC I usually just grab the second season. At first I watched the first season, but the six episodes started getting old.

I think it was supposed to be a combination and season 1 and 2 was going to be released together but his Ritter's death made season get released faster

You have a point, season one wasn't that funny and the cast were still trying to get their characters down. By season 2 you could see the improvement they seemed more comfortable in their characters.

Have to disagree with you there. My favorite seasons are the first three - the ones with the Ropers. I didn't like it as much in the Furley years.

Even though season 1 only has 6 episodes, it's kind of a nice introduction to the show. Too bad the Ropers characters couldn't come back one their spinoff was cancelled.

I wholeheartedly agree with torcan. :) The first three seasons were absolutely delightful, and besides, the first season is the introductory arc of what we all know and love as "Three's Company." Sure it has it's faults and it isn't as hilarious as some other seasons, by comparison, but bear in mind this was the first season to come out after all, and as such it gave the series the lift it needed, and look where it is 32 years later. Truly stupendous I say, therefore we should not begrudge it so. If anything at all, at least give it the credit it does deserve, and remember it did give us, the viewer, the chance to witness the first encounter, however silly it may seem :happyface , between Jack, Janet (;) yay!;) ), and Chrissy.

I love Season one! The first episode is one I can watch over and over. I love the episode with the puppy where Janet hears Jack and Chrissy in the kitchen with the dog and thinks they are having sex! I like the episode where Jack tells Mrs.Roper he isn't gay and Mrs.Roper keeps the secret. Isn't Roper's niece in Season One? That is another great episode. Season One is awesome because you get to see all of them really just getting to know each other. All of the seasons are great to me. I still won't watch the episode where they shut the door on the apartment for the final time though. That episode can make a grown man cry!

I'll take Season 1 over any of the Cindy Snow episodes, or the majority of the episodes when Chrissy went into her "obnoxious moron childlike" phase, I much prefer the early Chrissy character.

No way! Cindy or Terri were a MUCH better roomate and funnier. Chrissy's "I'm stupid" act got stale after the first half season.
