Anyone surprised by this? I know I am. I would have gave it to Phillips Rivers

Yeah I just seen this and I'm really surprised myself.

A couple other guys could of got it- Phillip Rivers, Adrian Peterson, Kurt Warner

I would have gave it to Adrian Peterson or Phillip Rivers. Not so Kurt Warner, because the Cards fell off at the end.

Kurt Warner played too bad in the last 5 weeks of the season to get it

He is the reason for several wins this year, but Adrian Peterson single-handedly lost the Falcons game with his fumbling, so there's no way he deserved to win the MVP, when you consider they could have locked up a playoff spot then instead of relying on beating the Giants.

There's a few people who deserved it, Peyton being one of them, so I have no problem with it.

What about Flacco and the Falcons QB? Could they have gotten it?

I think Kerry Collins should have gotten it though.

Flacco had a nice year, especially for a rookie, but nah he shouldn't of got it. If we're talking about other candidates, add Matt Ryan, and he should of been ahead of Flacco race wise. Kerry Collins is definitely a good candidate.

Kerry Collins kind of fizzled out too toward the end with his team losing to the Texans and Jets

Plus, Kerry Collins sort of managed the game. He didn't put up great numbers, but he didn't lose games for his team. So game managers wouldn't be considered.

Why do they always give the MVP to a Offensive guy? I can think of a lot of Defensive players who deserve it as much, Demarcus Ware, James Harrison, Joey Porter, Mayo from NewEngland ect.

I'm ok with this. At least it wasn't some overrated player like Eli.
