Another Viking fan!

Always seems like I'm the only one.

Stinks that we aren't going to have a healthy Pat Williams. We need a great game out of TJ if the Vikings are going to have a chance to win.

There is one other Vikings Fan but he doesn't post as much as the NFC East Guys. Maybe because the board topics are mainly NFC East topics-lol

Yep. 4/5ths of the football discussion here is NFC East, so I'm kind of left out.

Well Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope we can discuss a 2nd round matchup between the
Panthers and Vikings on Monday

Not only that, Adrian needs to stop fumbling!

I know. All season last year, we'd all cringe at the thought of him getting hurt or something. This year, we're all cringing at the thought of him fumbling every time he finds himself in a pile of players. It's frustrating.

Yeah, hopefully he will be able to take care of the football better on Sunday!

I just hate when a bad team is in the postseason. I know I won't be wrong when I say the vikings have no

Pass Defense
Poor Special Teams on Kickoff Coverage
Not That Good of a passing game

The only bright spots is their running game and supposedly that run defense but it certainly didn't look like it when Derrick Ward was running all over them last week.

Eagles 27
Vikings 10

Eagles have a really good run defense too. You would think their pass defense is better, with Asante Samual, Lito Sheppard, Brian Dawkins, Sheldon Brown etc. but our young LB core has become impressive. Anyways, I think it'll be 27-10 as well.

I'd mostly attribute it to Pat Williams being out. He's the best run stopping DT in the game, and the Vikings struggled big time without him playing. Unfortunately it looks like he'll be out, so I don't think Brian Westbrook will have any problems running.

Vikings will need a kickoff return, a fumble recovery, and a interception return to start off this game in order to have a chance.

The Vikings are 0-2 against the Eagles in Postseason but both of those games were in Philly, one at Vet and the other at the Linc

The 3rd matchup is in Minny this time so we will see

I hear about Philly being a blitz-happy team under D coordinator Jim Johnson, but how are they in terms of sack?

I haven't picture the Eagles as a sack-happy team since the Gang Green days of Reggie in the early 90s.

They get some sacks but not like the 91 Gang Green Defense. That defense was #1 in everything and missed the playoffs-lol

This year they are getting to the QB ALOT because they finally have the weapons to do it...For years they had to blitz to get any pressure on the QB..now they can do as they want when they want..... They will be blitzing off the bus tomorrow I can assure you of that...

we have a lot of sacks. The Pittsburgh and Cleveland games specifically.

Btw, I loved that defense and team.

I think the Eagles only had 2 sacks in the Cleveland game.

That's what I was thinking after I posted it- I don't know why I said it lol.

We still have a lot of sacks. You don't have to be #1 in the league, or in the top 3 in sacks, to be a great defensive team that gets a lot of sacks.

Ok so the one Pittsburgh game at home, we had 8/9 sacks, vs. a great QB in Ben Roethlisberger and excellent team in the Steelers. I was impressed not only by the amount of sacks on Ben in that game, but by the win, if even the offense and win was ugly. A win is a win, and a lot of sacks add to the excitement & fun of the game.

Kelly Holcomb used to be an Eagle as well, nothing special about him. He's no better then TJ.

He was knocked out the game but before that he threw a TD pass leading the Vikes to a 7-0 lead
