Cardinals, Chargers, Ravens and Eagles.

Pick 'em guys!!!!

Here are my picks-

Arizona over Atlanta- I know Zona can't play defense, but neither can Atlanta.

Chargers over Colts- I don't care how well Indy has played and that they have Manning- all that matters to me is that they can't run and can't play defense. Peyton can't make up for so many flaws.

Dolphins over Ravens- Pennington's been in the playoffs; Flacco hasn't.

Vikings over Eagles- Sorry, wrecky and iggles, but I don't trust the Eagles on the road this year (only 3 road wins) in a tough environment.

Atlanta
Colts
Ravens
Eagles

Sorry WF but the Colts have put it on. They have an ok team with Marvin Harrison aging, Jeff Saturday being injured, their defense in general and at spurts this season being very bad and Peyton Manning not looking the same, but I think they will win.

Arizona and Atlanta, along with Miami & Baltimore will be the best matchups and games. Atlanta is being overlooked. I wouldn't be surprised if either team won, but I am going with Atlanta.

Other than my Super Bowl XLIII picks, I haven't made any predictions in years but at the risk of making a fool out of myself, I think I'll give it a shot.

Eagles over Vikings 27-10, After that can of whoop-ass they handed Dallas, I don't see them having much of a problem with Minnesota.

Atlanta over Arizona 17-14

Miami over Baltimore 34-21

San Diego over Indianapolis 21-17

Charles, I agree with all of your scores, except that 21-17 Colts/SD game could go either way.

I think the cardinals will find a way to win this one... I just have that feeling...

I think the chargers will beat the colts
i think the ravens will beat the fish
& last but certainly not least I think the eagles will get it done against the vikings.

I'm actually surprised you're picking the Cardinals.

All season long, you had been saying Zona was a team that doesn't get up when punched in the mouth.

I assumed you'd use that theory.

Chris; picks for this weekend?

Already listed my picks, Wrecky, but I'll post them again:

Arizona over Atlanta- I know Zona can't play defense, but neither can Atlanta.

Chargers over Colts- I don't care how well Indy has played and that they have Manning- all that matters to me is that they can't run and can't play defense. Peyton can't make up for so many flaws.

(I'm sorry, but as much as I want to pick Philly, I'm just a bit skeptical for this reason- Brian Westbrook, arguably their most important player, is a guy who can run for a lot of yards, but the Vikings have good rush defense. Also, I am curious as to how Philly's young wideouts will respond to playoff pressure.

Honestly, Eagles/Vikings is the only playoff game this weekend where I am not super confident in my pick, almost 50/50 down the middle)

I still feel that way bro... I don't think the falcons will be able to punch them in the mouth... This is a very favorable matchup for the cardinals... I think the cardinals will find a way to get it done... Would it shock me if atlanta won?? No not really... but In the playoffs experience does matter & warner has a ton of it...

Chris, do you think all the games or picks you made will be close score wise? I say Eagles 27-10, Atlanta or Arizona 21-17, Indy 21-17 and Ravens 16-13. I am skeptical with all 4 games. Ravens or Dolphins can win, Eagles or Minnesota could win, Zona or ATL could win and Indy or the Chargers could win. I think this is the first year in awhile that all 4 games I wasn't 100% about. I can't wait for the games!! Mike you should try to figure out the schedule and see if something will fit, getting over to Minnesota, last minute.

Big C
01-01-2009, 11:24 PM
I agree with 2 of your 4 games in terms of how close the score will be.

IMO, Atlanta/Arizona and Colts/Chargers will both go over the 30-point mark.

Don't be surprised if both teams combine for 70-80 points!

The Dolphins/Ravens is gonna be a great, close game as well I think. 2 excellent defenses, evenly matched offenses and new coaches. Hell I can't wait for that. I think I've said it like a hundred times, excited for this weekend lol.

Believe me I am working on it.... One good thing is this.... If the eagles win this week, they travel to that rat & roach infested eyesore next week & i will not have to worry about a thing if that game happens...

BTW It is amazing how much respect the giants fans suddenly have for the eagles.... I have heard caller after caller & talked to fan after fan & they say how much they do NOT want to play the eagles..Makes me feel good, but that is next week, I am not thinking one bit about that roach team yet...MY MIND IS ON THE VIKINGS & MOST OF ALL GETTING MY BUTT TO THE HHH METRODOME!!!

Well, I am nervous about the Charger/Colt game..

Sounds like LT might not play much..

Two years in a row that we have LT and AT injured or dinged up... Damn it!! Can't even get a break!! :(

LMAO so true lol rat infested eyesore

What's worst; Camden, Giants Stadium or Shea?

I think GS might have the upper edge over Camden, but Shea is probably the worst lol. Not only is it nasty, but in the middle of the ghetto.

You're telling me bro..At least last year you had Michael Turner to back him up, Darren Sprohls is a great, athletic RB but is a tad less good then MT. Let's see what pans out and how bad LT's injury woes are, come game day.

Giants stadium is not a bad place to watch a game in all honesty , but it is just a dump, an absolute dump, kind of like the vet (god rest her soul)

Yeah I understand. Did you ever occasionally watch Phillies games at the Vet? Just curious. They had the little sleeves at the Vet, and up top were the seats. Not the most creative stadium but I will miss it, like you said.

Yeah In fact I saw a no hitter & a perfect game at the vet... What are the odds?

That's awesome bro.

Funny but weird story for me. My dad and I were sitting around, around that year- 2003 and were strongly thinking about going to the phillies game that afternoon. we said yes we'll go in 10 minutes, and decided we would leave and grab tickets at the stadium then head in. he ended up falling asleep and i was doing something else and we never went. i felt really bad. later on that night on the 10 oclock broadcast of comcast sportsnight, leslie says, a big day in philly sports. I'm thinking, what the hell could have happened so big? Eagles weren't playing then, so I thought it was probably some news, like an average signing or something. turns out, the game we were going to go to, but never did, was the kevin millwood no hitter, that you went to lol. :(

I'm 1-1 from yesterdays game.

Part of me wants the Chargers to play the Steelers and hope the Ravens win.

Some Charger fans think if the Ravens and Chargers advance, we could host the AFC Championship game.

Wish the fans weren't so cocky.
