Awhile ago I posted a request for another copy of a souvenir cd-single of the Cheers theme I got at the Bull & Finch gift shop in 2001.

Well, I never did find another copy, but, I did find out that the version on the cd is the same as the extended, 3:09 version posted on this site.

This is a remake by a group known as "The Countdown Singers" and a remastered version appears on this release...

Now, I have a question...

Are there only three versions of the closing theme?

1.) Standard (35 sec)
2.) 200th Episode (Extended w/ cast talking)
3.) One For The Road (Series finale' - piano)

I was hoping to find more information on the theme from the following site that Sitcomsonline has a link to in the Cheers section, but, unfortunately, only certain pages work and "The Ending Theme" isn't one of them...

Thats my website - I haven't maintained it in years.

In answer to your question, yes you are correct. However, there is a version of the 200th episode ending theme without the talking used when the episode is split into 2 parts - the first part has the same theme w/o the crowd noise.

The finale ending theme has two versions as well, though both are piano only. The one is used when the show is split into 3 parts, and is the same length as the "standard" one, the other is from the original recording and is slightly longer.

Do you have these in wav format? How can I get them?
