Who deserves Coach of the Year? My vote is for Tony Soprango, he made a huge turnaround from last year 1-15 Dolphins to 11-5 AFC East division champs! That is very impressive! He gets my vote!

That is very impressive! He gets my vote! Yeah I agree. This is his first year too, right? Wreckless 12-29-2008, 12:22 PM My candidates: Tom Coughlin, NYG Tony Sparano, Miami John Harbaugh, Baltimore Jeff Fisher, Titans I narrow down the list to Sparano and Harbaugh. Harbaugh, in his first year, used to be a special teams coach too, turned the Ravens from a 4-12 team, after being a 12-4 team the previous year, into a 11-5 playoff team, after they lost Steve McNair at the end of last season as well. Sparano, in his first year as well, turned the league's worst team, going 1-15 last season, into a division winning, 11-5 playoff, superbowl bound team. Coughlin gets honors, only because the Giants lost Plaxico for a short time this season, didn't have Umenyiora, Strahan, Gibril Wilson and a few other guys, and he still did a good job. Fisher had an unbelievable team and undefeated team at one time this seeason. Sparano or Harbaugh get my vote. No Mike Smith of the Falcons? He had to bring the team back from the quitting of Bobby Petrino and the troubles of Michael Vick. Wreckless 12-29-2008, 12:38 PM Yeah, he's another nominee and has done a fabulous job. 1-15 to 11-5 is pretty cool though. Mike Smith overcame Petrino's stupidity, Vick's thug image and having a rookie QB who's turned out to be a star and great. They were bad last season record wise as well, and turned it around, so kudos to him, the team and Matt Ryan as well. imo 01-03-2009, 06:12 AM Sporagno definitely takes the cake, but Harbough deserves a nod too. GARFIELDKOOL 01-03-2009, 10:02 AM Yeah, I'll go with Sparano myself, only because the Dolphins were a joke last year. TVFactFan 01-03-2009, 12:30 PM Who deserves Coach of the Year? I don't see how any other coach ould win it. Especialy since Soprango started a trend that other NFL teams starting using when they revealed the Wildcat Offense. TONY DERERVES COACH OF THE YEAR |
