I have bad memories of being paddled almost everyday in Kindergarden. I don't know what I did wrong I just know almost everyday I got spanked and I cried alot. It was not a good school. :(

I would get paddled in school. Once time, someone actually broke the paddle. One of my teachers paddled a group of us and accidentally hit a girl on her back with the paddle. I was about seven years old when it happened. The girl was eight.

That happened in my school too. I remember it was all over the school...what had happened. I was in 4th grade at the time. I think the student who got hit was in 5th grade.

I once had a math teacher kick the front of my desk when i was talking to the kid behind me, and it ended up breaking a couple of fingers when they got squished between the seat my hand was resting on and the front of the other desk.

I've never been paddled at school and I would never use corporal punishment on one of my students. Making them sit in the "sad seat" in front of the room is usually effective enough.

It was the belt for me when I misbehaved.

My dad took his belt and just hit me as hard as he could.........

I was unfortunately. I don’t think anyone should have the right to do that especially those who are not the parents or guardians of the child and even then.

I went to a “private school” from Kindergarten to the 6th grade. It was owned by a woman who I consider a psychopath. The school has a Facebook page and one night I wrote a whole story about this crazy woman. Of course, everyone else thought she was a saint and I was speaking ill of the dead (and thankfully she is dead). She would beat the crap out of you for any small breaking of her rules. Not just a swipe of two on the butt, but just an ass beating. I think most of us kids lived in fear of this woman like Stalin. I have had fantasies of getting ahold of her and doing to her what she did to me. My parents accused me of being a habitual liar. I never told a lie in my life, I said what I had to protect myself against them or the crazy woman you hired to beat me.

I went to two different public high schools, one for 7th-8th grade and the other High School. I don’t remember the junior high but got it at least once. The sentence was handed down and it was three swats. In high school only got it once from the football coach who was a jerk (in my opinion) who monitored study hall. He got me good. Our principal, a man who passed away I actually liked and respected also gave licks, but you didn’t want to get it from him. He was an overweight man but with huge arms and a big ass paddle. One kid I knew in my class (who was actually a good guy) supposedly got his ass beat so hard by him he was in tears. And this was a tough kid.

I don’t think again that they had the right to do this. It’s assault. Hopefully we live in a more enlightened age now.

I was sent to be paddled, but the school disciplinarian changed her mind.

My mom did not change her mind and I was spanked with her leather belt in the parking lot and again at once we arrived home.
