I thought it was worth the watch. Some funny moments, but as a whole it was way too cliche for me. If it wasn't for Anna Faris, I don't think it would have been very good at all.

Me too. It was my second time seeing it, and even more chilling this time. I read that Catherine originally turned down the role, but then she couldn't get the story out of her head so I guess she decided to take it. It's definitely a story that stays with you for a while.

Twist its a documentary about how the dance the twist evolved from Hank Ballard's original recording to Chubby Checker's remake, and how the dance went from a teen fad, to a national craze. Both Ballard and Checker are interviewed as well as Joey Dee, Dee Dee Sharp, Gladys Horton(the Marvelettes), and various American Bandstand, dancers.

I hadn't seen it in over 20 years, and back then I thought it was pretty good, but now I thought it was just OK in a couple parts.

Johnny Wiesmuller and Maurreen O'Sullivan were, of course, exellent. (even though the movie Tarzan isn't at all the character Edgar Rice Burroughs-the creator of Tarzan-created.)

I just watched the amazing documentary titled Kymatica and I have to say it is the most mind and eye opening documentary I have ever seen. It truly made me question basically everything I believed or thought I believed about the origin of myth, the true purpose of Law and the real reason humanity is destined to continue committing the same grave errors which have lead us all to the lowly state of today. If you have the opportunity to watch it, I would highly recommend Kymatica to anyone searching for a deeper meaning to the continuing strife that we call life...

"THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING, THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING". It was one Cineplex the other night.

For those who never heard of it, it's a comedy from the 60s about a Russian sub that runs aground on a sandbar off the coast of a small town in New England, and a lot of the townspeople think they're being invaded by Russians. It stars Carl Riener.

Burn After Reading--with John Malkovich, Brad Pitt and George Clooney.

Although the acting was first-rate, the movie, I felt, was absolutely awful. It was touted as a 'madcap' comedy, or a so-called 'dark' comedy. I thought the movie was depressing and gratuitously violent. It could be argued that it was intended to be that way. I "got" the humor in it, but didn't find it funny at all. The story revolved around some very pathetic characters. It scared me to think that some people in the CIA could actually be that a-moral. If that is the case, as a country we are in deep sh**!

I really enjoyed Flash of Genius (true story), and What Just Happened. Robert DeNiro owned that movie, his movie all the way. If you're a DeNiro fan, this is the movie to see.

I liked it, didn't love it. It was predictable. Samuel L. Jackson plays crazy well. It's definitely worth the rental.

Leonardo DiCaprio showed his talent early on. If you've never seen it, This Boy's Life, is fantastic. True story, with Robert DeNiro co-starring. :)

I actually have wanted to see that movie for years, I just haven't thought about it in a while. Thanks for reminding me! I'll have to check it out soon.

I liked Expelled. I thought it was an eye opening movie!! If you get a chance, you should also check out Fireproof. It was made by the guys who made Facing The Giants, and I thought it was even better. It's actually the best film I've seen so far this year!!

Sean Penn really earned his Oscar. He worked that role hard and to perfection.

If you're a William H. Macy fan, you'll enjoy, The Deal. He steals the movie. He and his wife Felicity Huffman must be a riot together. Something tells me that they're playing themselves most of the time onscreen.

I love that, and know it by heart. :) The songs are beautiful. It's the one I grew up with. I have it on tape. Lesley Ann Warren was so beautiful. The actor who played the Prince, Stuart Damon, has been on the soap, General Hospital, for about three decades now. The stepsisters are a riot, lol.

oh yea, I REMEMBER seeing that when I was "a little shaver". I haven't thought about it in YEARS.

I think The Disney Channel (before they, too, "jumped the shark":( and started showing all those stupid kids shows) show it once or twice in the 90s?

The one stepsister, Prunella, was hilarious lol. And Stuart Damon? Dayum. I love that version, though. It was nice to see again because it's been years.

Yup, probably during the early 90's because that's where I first saw it and used to watch it. I remember loving it when I was really little, and then suddenly they stopped playing it. They only seem to show the Brandy version on TV now which I don't mind, but I did miss the older one.
