"STAR TREK" (all of them-I can just hear Worf: "I am a Klingon-we do not get 'merry' ") (and Spock-"I do not see the logic in giving gifts to other people")

also "DALLAS"

Batman didn't have a Christmas show, would have been cool to see one. I don't think the Munsters had one either.

Technically there was a Batman Christmas show with Andy Devine playing Santa Claus in the Puzzler episode "The Duo is Slumming."

Always thought it was really strange that Dallas never had any Christmas episodes--the Ewings at Christmas would have been fun!!

Also I Dream of Jeannie--Jeannie would have been blinking Santa to Cocoa Beach by mistake or zapping Tony & Roger to the North Pole to see if he exists, etc.

Did Sanford & Son ever have a Christmas episode? I don't think Soap ever did.

I was going to say that as well - very strange how Cosby never did a Christmas episode. They even had a Father's Day episode, but nothing for Christmas

Someone suggested, that it was because Lisa Bonet (Denise Huxtable) was (half) Jewish. I doubt that's the reason though.

yea, "SANFORD & SON" did; at least once. It was another sitcom parody of "A CHRISTMAS CAROL". I think it had Fred as Scrooge.

It seems sometimes at Christmas, every other sitcom does a parody of either "A CHRISTMAS CAROL" or "IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE".

Cosby Show had two sort of Christmas episodes, but not Christmas episodes per say. Yes, Sanford & Son had one.

Leave it to Beaver, Soap and My Wife & Kids never had Christmas episodes.

I know! Those parodies (or tributes) are usually good though.

Unhappily Ever After- I would have loved to see Tiffany or Mr. Floppy in a Christmas hat.

Also, Charmed.

nurses, well, they did have one in the 3rd season but thats when the show went in the toilet with loni anderson joining the cast. i would have loved to see an episode with the season 1 & 2 cast. also clarissa explains it all, i'm pretty sure it didn't have one.

Hogan's Heroes (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=71) - Even though it was pretty much winter throughout its six seasons and Schultz dressed once as Santa, they never did a Christmas episode. Here's the cast singing Christmas Day, 1965 on The Hollywood Palace. video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWxgo6WhABg) (starts at 1:00)

Cosby Show actually had 2 that they considered Christmas shows, but they weren't really. The best holiday show they did was Thanksgiving when Cliff had to keep going to the store in the rain!

Which episodes did they consider "Christmas shows"?

I always felt bad for Cliff in that episode. Couldn't someone else go out in the rain too?

There was never a christmas theme episode for the Cosby Show, don't know what show you were watching

There was an episode where Elvin was dressed as an elf to entertain kids as the hospital. The house wasn't decorated or anything but they did acknowledge that it was Christmas.
I never understood why they never went all out for Christmas like almost every other show.

It was weird to see a family sitcom not have one episode with a christmas tree in the living room

Someone somewhere suggested that it might have to do with Lisa Bonet being half-Jewish. But I don't know.

The Cosby Show's "Christmas" episodes were in season 6 ("Getting To Know You") and season 8 ("Clair's Place"). They're not really Christmas shows like everybody else has. All they really do is mention Christmas and I do remember Elvin dressing up in an elf costume. As long as the show was on, they could have had some really great Christmas shows.

^The Father's Day episode actually originally aired during the holidays, and I believe Cliff even said something like "These are the best Christmas presents I've ever gotten for Father's Day", so if you wanna get really technical, there's another one.

Rhoda, The Morgansterns were Jewish.

Except that Rhoda DID have a Christmas/holiday-themed episode in the first season - "Guess What I Got You for the Holidays"

I always thought I Dream of Jeannie could have done a good one and yes, I Love Lucy missed a chance to have a real Christmas episode.

I wanted "Facts of Life" to have a Blair / Scrooge episode, but it didn't. "Emergency" also didn't have a Christmas episode.
