Usually turkey for Christmas and if I get ambitious, ham at New Years.

One year I did both for Christmas and it was just too much food all at once! Our family was never that big to begin with. Also, we'd always go to Frank's mom's where we'd have veal roast and pasta.

That was about (+)30 lbs ago!

We're possibly doing pork roast (or for fun, call it "roast beast" LOL) for Christmas and the smoked turkey for New Years (along with the blackeye peas, cabbage and cornbread)

My family alway had a sirloin roast for Christmas. Ham for Easter, and turkey for Thanksgiving. Along with all the veggies and side dishes, we'd have tray of lasagne, that we'd usually break into later in the day, while playing Trivial Pursuit or Scrabble. Wow, I miss those days.

That's what I'm going to miss most - the dinner, then a nap maybe, then up again to play games all night long. :(

Neither. Whatever I eat on wednesday evening won't be the focus. It'll be christmas music and maybe something on TV:) I like that Peanuts special when Snoopy makes Christmas dinner. Popcorn should be the new tradition. Times are changing, and meat is old-school(cave period actually). People will be happier and healthier when they shift their focus from food to something more meaningful.

You know how there’s turducken (chicken stuffed in a duck stuffed in a turkey)? There should be turham (or hamkey) for Xmas.
