I'm no expert on coin collecting but a coin shop is no different than a sportscard shop. Their intent is to buy and resell so if the coin has any value at all, They will give you a percentage based on what their pricing guides say. Condition of the coin will also play a factor in determing it's value. If it's been heavily circulated then it might not be worth your time but like I said, I'm no expert.
