Hollywood's comeback king Mickey Rourke has vowed to make up for lost time after recapturing his acting career, acknowledging he'll be dropped like a rock if he falls off the rails again.

The 52-year-old star has made a triumph return to the big screen after more than a decade in the Hollywood wilderness battling drug addiction. His role in The Wrestler has already earned him a string of award nominations - and he is hotly tipped for an Oscar.

However he refuses to get carried away and promises he'll spend the rest of his career making up for the mistakes he made in the past.

Rourke says, "I've got many regrets and I know I'm not going to get another chance, but I've got a lot of time left to make up for the 13 or 14 years I didn't work. All I want to do is be the best goddamn actor I can be."

I loved The Wrestler. It's a shame that Mickey Rourke's career went South all those years because he's a hell of an actor. I hope he makes a successful comeback.

I might go see The Wrestler. I heard from some people that Marisa Tomei has a few nude scenes in the movie LOL. Marisa still looks good. Mickey has aged badly. His hair is too long. What's the deal with his new movie Killshot with Diane Lane, Thomas Jane, Rosario Dawson, Joseph Gordon Levitt? I saw in a magazine that it was supposed to come out January 23rd. Is it coming to theatres or straight to video? I wanna see it because i love Diane Lane. The last movie she did with Richard Gere looked boring. Ya'll remember Diane and Mickey were in Rumblefish movie with Matt Dillon? Has anybody seen Mickey's Angel Heart movie with Robert Deniro and Lisa Bonet? It looks scary to me and i don't like horror movies.

I know and i think Bill was wrong for doing that because there's nothing wrong with Lisa playing a different character than the character she played on his show. I thought actors were supposed to play different characters and not the same character everytime? LOL. Lisa's acting career did get bad after she left The Cosby Show. Her daughter is hot though.

I think he was more worried about how her movie role would reflect on his family sitcom. I can't really blame him for feeling that way.

Have you seen Angel Heart? I saw Mickey in Sylvester Stallone's Get Carter movie. He was whipping Stallone's ass in one scene LOL. I've never seen Stallone get beat up like that. I wanna see Mickey's 9 1/2 Weeks movie with Kim Basinger. I heard the sex scenes are intense between them. Kim was hot back then. I saw his Wild Orchid part 2 movie and it sucked but the girl who played with him, i think her name is Angie Everhart. She's hot. Did he do a sequel to 9 1/2 Weeks?
