If you were able to buy gifts for some of your friends here at SO, what would you give them? Here is what I would get for some of my good friends here at SO.

Sonny: The complete John Wayne DVD collection. No small matter considering that the Duke made over 50 movies!

Jenny: The fifth season of Family Ties on DVD.

Michael: To see Martina McBride in concert. I'll go too! :D

Cathy: All five season of The Odd Couple.

Monika: The White Album and Abbey Road by the Beatles. She needs something in her collection that isn't a greatest hits album.

Tara: An autographed Keith Richards guitar.

Lauren: A date with Wayne Rogers.

Janice: An award for being the world's greatest moderator.

Now...since I don't know the first names of many of the folks on here, I'll end up calling you guys by your nicnames (sorry)...but here's what I'd get for some of them:

TJL and Charles: their own TV sitcom (as long as Charles continues making those hilarious signs - they MUST be part of the show!)

Janice: The moderator spot at the next Presidential Debate (hey, it's 4 years from now, so they're probably taking reservations)

Wreckless and Philly Sports Hater: Another Philly championship in ANY sport

Lauren: The right to be called MRS. WAYNE ROGERS

FSU: A DECENT Buffalo Bills football team!! (hey, that's my wish too!)

and...

TV Star Collector: You ALREADY got your present from me! And it sounds like you're enjoying it to the fullest! I love it!

Hey Michael, did you know that Best Buy has a new Martina compelation out? It has many of the songs from Martina's GH album (not all of them though), as well as a alternative version of "This Ones for the Girls" and an accustic version of "Wrong Again". "How I Feel" is also on there too. It's really not worth getting since nothing on it is new but I thought I would let you know anyway.

Yeah, and I actually kinda want to get it. I have all of the songs already on various albums of hers except for God Bless America, but I mostly just want it for my collection. I haven't actually see it at stores yet, though. But thanks for letting me know! :)

Great (idea for a ) thread!!!

Mike/mriggles- an Eagles superbowl ticket cause you know they could be their if they get in (to the playoffs)!

Chris- A Buffalo Bills Superbowl, or championship

Ramona- anything and everything "Melrose Place"
MonarC/Ardis- a ticket to a Mariah Carey concert/ to see and meet with her in person

I'm not good with Christmas presents, at least on here, because even some people I know, I don't know what you like...

If I had a lot of money, I would give you all at least $100, especially TJ and all my friends here

Merry Christmas.

Janice - I agree with Jen on this one, a life without pain. Nobody deserves it more than Janice. I'd also like to give her that call very soon, telling her that I finally got the money saved to come visit her and Lou!!! :)

Lauren - The man of her dreams. She's a sweetheart, and deserves to be happy for the rest of her life. ;)

Tara - I would also give her a great man who would treat her like the amazing woman she is!!! she deserves a great looking stud with a heart half as big as hers. I say half, because I don't think it's possible for many to have a heart as big as hers.

Cathie - If I could, I would simply give Cathie happiness for all the days of her life!!! She has had enough trials, and deserves NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS FOREVER AND EVER!!! :)

This is my list for now, but I'm sure I'll think of more!!

Brad Russ

This thread is so creative. Good thinking Michael! I thank everyone who mentioned me. Lauren, what I'd give for a week with my sisters and parents. Jenny and Brad, yes, no pain would be nice. Doodyville, lol @ the Prez debate. Cute. Thanks so Michael, Treky and everyone. :)

I'll be more general (and lazy, lol), I wish everyone here good health. I never realized how true it was, that without your health, not much else matters. No matter how rich or famous you are. Good health is everything.

For Brian Damage: A healthy baby boy, a happy and healthy wife afterwards and a 65" HDTV Plasma for all his sports games and to see Patricia Heaton larger than life!

For LuLu: A great job that she likes, an end to her Fibro and a great guy like Wayne Rogers that will treat her right like the sweet, funny, intelligent woman she is. If I can't get her that, then a trip to Canada to learn how to speak "English" (couldn't resist that one!) ;)

For Little Mel: What can I say here. I wish this guy the WORLD at his feet. I wish continued improvement in his mental health. To the point he could get up on the roof and shout from the rooftops that he loves life and life loves him back. I wish for him a woman that can see him for what he is and the love he's capable of giving back. I'd give him a steady job that pays well so that he could get out on his own as I think this would be a huge help. And of course, a nice mid-sized dog to keep him company. (Plus, it's widely known that it's very easy to meet girls while walking a dog - now that's a guy's true "wingman"!).

For Penny Lane: Since she's happily married 40 yrs, I'd hate to give her Paul McCartney as I'm sure her husband wouldn't be thrilled about it. So let's just say, maybe a vacation to a south island with Paul. She'd have to know it was just for a week tho and after come home to the arms of her loving husband.

For TJ: SitcomsOnline goes public like Google or Yahoo. Todd Fuller becomes one of the richest internet entrepenuers (sp?) of our time like the Google guys. He deserves it for the work he puts into this site and the crap he puts up with sometimes. ;) His words of encouragement to me have really meant a lot.

For CactusJack: A sitcom he could star in. He has some of the funniest one-liners and cracks me right up. He also has one of the best smiles here at SO.

For Sonny: A month at the Dallas Cowboy's training camp. Two months with the cheerleading squad! ;)

For TJL: A great permanent job that he loves - maybe the owner of his own pub in New York - similar in atmopshere to Cheers.

For Solomon: To become North America's most renouned fast food critic. His reviews would be syndicated in every newspaper in N.A. He would attract Beyonce who would divorce to marry Solomon. He would no longer have to worry about the wierd chicks he meets and she would have no problem with him watching all his sports. In fact, she would buy the Eagles for him so he could actually have a Philly team that he likes. ;)

For Janice: Again, what can I say. I'd give this woman my life if I knew it would make her life better....(but trust me, it wouldn't ). I know this will make you cry, but I'd give you your family back. And if I couldn't do that, then at least a 2 month phone card so you could talk to them in heaven. They would tell you what you meant to them even now. And how strong you are and the hurdles you've had to endure. I would have the DEA in the States overhauled or bring you to Canada for alternate treatments that would cost you nadda. We would share a home filled with kitties and dogs and take care of each other. I truly feel a sisterhood with Janice that I've rarely felt with anyone. We totally understand each other.

I know I've left some others out, but that doesn't mean you wouldn't get gifts too. Just I got a little emotional here at the end. I don't know what I would have done this year without you guys.

That would be so perfect. I wonder if that's what the Cowboy players have been doing and that's why their play has suffered.

The Cowboys do have some scorching hot cheerleaders. Is Romo still with Jessica Simpson?

I think he is. I haven't heard from her since week 2. I guess nobody can blame her for our problems this time.

Maybe take Valerie to a game at Texas Stadium. I'd have the best of both worlds.

Oh yeah. ;)

If I had a time machine, I'd let you go back to the set of the Incredible Hulk so you could meet Bill Bixby. :D

God bless you! :notworthy

I had completely forgotten you were ga-ga over Valerie once I found out you were a fan of the Boys.

BTW, I find it fitting that 1975-76 was not only the year you became a Cowboys fan, but also the year Val first entered the consciousness of our country.

IMO, Valerie on 'One Day' reminded me of those Landry-era Boys- wholesome, clean-cut, All-American, beloved by many.

You've read her biography haven't you Chris? you will find that she wasn't as clean cut as everyone thought she was.

Yes, she was doing things that Barbara certainly wouldn't have dared to do.

Same with Elizabeth Montgomery! Why do you think she loved portraying the Sabrina character so much! She and Asher would sneak off to a hotel at lunch for a "little Sabrina quickie" shall we say?

(which makes me like those two ladies all the more)! ;)

I don't think I would say that. I think Valerie and Barbara were very much alike. Valerie herself even says so. True, Valerie experimented a little with drugs, but that was after all the 1970's.

Yeah, it really wasn't viewed quite the same as it is today. Just about "everyone" tried at least grass once back then - or cigarettes - or a good drunk. And especially when I heard she hooked up with Eddie Van Halen - it was well known back then they all did it so she was likely to at least try it at some point. Doesn't make one a druggie.

and btw, earlier in my post, for some reason I thought you meant Barbara Eden! lol

I meant when it came to dating - Val wasn't exactly chaste like Barbara during her teen years.
