My internet connection has not responded several times in the last few weeks when I'm on this site. It only does it when I am on this site and doesn't freeze up when I'm on other sites, so something here has to be causing problems. Could whatever it is be removed or changed?

I've had that same problem (among others) with SO since I joined years ago. It used to be worse actually, it would crash my system before.

The only thing I've been told is to try to use firefox rather than explorer to get here, but that's a pain for me since explorer is the default program and I don't have problems on any other site.

I've been told to reinstall windows/office even, which I did, but it hasn't changed.

I've just learned to put up with it or have more than one session open, which does slow down my machine, but at least if one freezes I can use the other without having to reboot.

I hope they can figure this out. I swear there's a very tiny glitch somewhere in the software, and for whatever reason, affects only certain computers with certain setups. Strange for sure!
