In this episode, Ozzie really likes the sport coat he received from his mother as a gift, but it seems it was meant for David. It's strange that Harriet happens to see the note in the book saying the coat was for Ozzie. Do you think she placed the note there just to make Ozzie feel better? David was just reading the book and never saw the note. She's been known to do some sneaky things before to save peoples' feelings, such as the note in "Rick Get's Even". The show was edited about four minutes, so maybe a reference was made, and they cut it out.

Harriet's sly charm and wit was a great plus for the show.

hmm, I never thought about that possiblity. It's an interseting theory though.

From the show I see that some things never change though, teenagers are still hard to buy for! LOL

Teenagers are the most difficult people ever to buy for. My two grandchildren make a list for me to chose from and then I need help because I just don't know what all these new things are.

It was good waiting til Xmas Day to watch this; made it more special.

Seems like Ozzie and Rick were having a hard time writing thank you notes for something they didn't like. Well, a nice thank you note always works & if its for something you didn't like just keep it short [Thank you for the delicious fruitcake (pretty shirt). It was very thoughtful of you. Have a wonderful Holiday Season and New Year Warmly, ] Even it fruitcake makes you retch or the shirt makes you look like a clown its going to be "a good fit" for another. All gifts are good. If I don't personally care for them, I can always give them away to someone or a charity that can use them - in this case my gift gets to be the gift of giving - which is a nice gift in itself.

Glad Ozzie had the good sense to keep his churlish thoughts in check & Rick didn't send a poison pen thank you note. Now on to the other eps!!

Merry Xmas everyone!!

I waited until a week before to watch it, I believe. I just love those shows. I wish I had "The Day After Christmas" episode.
