So if anyone wondered where in the world I was for nearly the past two weeks, I was moving and FINALLY got my internet back today!!! During the Thanksgiving weekend and all through to the 3rd of this month, I was moving to my new place here in Federal Way, and the apartment is MUCH nicer than the dump that I just got out of. I can't believe I spent 6 and a half years in a place with a lot of mold and mildew (due to a major hot water heater leak just a few months after I moved in during the fall of 2002, which attracted tons of moisture), but fortunately, I didn't get sick from it and strangely was so accustomed to it that I almost didn't even notice. And another lovely problem
was that I had a mouse problem. The apartments in Auburn were located right next to a farm field where mice swarmed--and everyone here seemed to have the same problem with mice. My cats seemed to enjoy it, though.
Part of the reason why I got out of there was that my former apartment manager and owner made it too much of there business to peek inside my windows and enter my unit while I was gone and leave me messages saying that my place was "too cluttered"--though it really wasn't, and besides, they
hadn't given me a formal inspection. They just went in without my knowledge nor consent--which I found out was ILLEGAL--and found some excuse to nail me for whatever. You'd think that if there was a formal inspection of the units, they'd give you advance warning so you could straighten up. But they didn't and gave me a notice to vacate by the 1st of December, be out by the 3rd at the latest. So I spent hours and hourse working and slaving away, getting little sleep and just keeping busy, and with the help from some of my friends from church and my brother, we made it in to my new place. Me and my friend Kathy finally got the last of my belongings unloaded here at 2:30 AM
in the early morning of the 4th. Wow, I was tired. :faint: It really takes a lot out of you to move. I've been sleeping on the couch and going crazy without the internet. I've got a ton of new stuff to buy, and I'm keeping my new place nice and clean every day! I'm proud of it, and I'm looking forward to getting new stuff for Christmas to make this place even nicer!! :)
