Full House Remake Reportedly Scrapped

Actor John Stamos' plans to reunite the cast of 90s U.S. sitcom Full House for a modern remake have reportedly been scrapped.

Former child star Candace Cameron Bure told Ok! magazine this month of Stamos' plan to update the hit family sitcom for new audiences, much like the recently revived shows Bionic Woman, Knight Rider and Beverly Hills, 90210.

The "semi-remake" would centre around Cameron Bure and co-star Jodie Sweetin's characters - who were the older sisters of Michelle Tanner, a role shared by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

But a TV insider has told E! news Stamos is "no longer pitching" the idea - because he couldn't drum up enough interest without the Olsen twins' involvement.

The source says, "We couldn't make the deal. It's completely dead right now."

If this news is true, I really can't say that I'm surprised.

What really killed the deal is I heard the actress who played Kimmy Gibler was holding out for alot of $$$$, so it was D.O.A...........lol..........oh well this would have made a great "horrible" TV Movie without a laugh track (always kills a sitcom reunion movie without sweetened audiences responses)...anyway we will never see the beautiful Candace as a Tanner again....check her out in her new sweet Hallmark Christmas movie with Tom Arnold currently playing throughout December.

Candace was a recent cover girl on Us Weekly--looking fab!! She only briefly mentions the fact that a reunion would be nice but very unlikely.

I don't think a remake would have been successful.

I wish the Olsen Twins would just get involved so it could become a reality.
