:lol: In season 1 and season 2, I used to always wonder why Fred and Lamont never had a key to open the door to the junk yard, they always walked straight in, and if you look closely, there is no lock on the door at all for a key to be used. Also, the only lock on the door is inside, and that is the chain lock inside on the door, the slide lock below the chain lock is not complete, the other piece is missing to make the slide lock complete:lol: :lol: .

Maybe it was done to convey the idea that they lived in a very safe and trusting neighborhood, where locks weren't necessary !

I always wondered that myself. Whenever they would come back from somewhere (being out to dinner, movies, etc) they just opened the door and walked right in. Later, Fred mentioned how they had "been robbed several times". This may be WHY - lol

Its probably a detail the writers and the crew overlooked. Then again this is television.
