With a few weeks left in the NFL season, I'd like to know who would you choose as the league MVP and why.

Kurt Warner, without a doubt.

Great, veteran QB who has won the MVP award in the past, leads his team to a playoff berth and won the division for his team (for the first time in 33, since 1975). He has done it all this year, statistically & for Arizona.

Other possible candidates that could end up winning it: Drew Brees, Adrian Peterson, Kerry Collins, Matt Cassell...

Kurt Warner has done a great job in leading the Cardinals to the playoffs. However they are also the product of a very weak division where the other three teams are horrible. If New Orleans or Washington, two last place teams in the strongest divisions in football, had switched places with Arizona, the Saints or Redskins would have easily won the NFC West. By comparison Arizona may have finished in last place in the tougher divisions. Unless they go deep in the playoffs (and the MVP is a regular season award that is decided on before the playoffs start) they are not an elite NFL team this year, and the MVP should come from a different team. By the same token Adrian Petersen has done great but his team is the product of a weak division. I think the top candidates for MVP should be Tennessee's best defensive player (their defense is stronger than Kerry Collins), Carolina's best player (if they hold on and win the division), Eli Manning, Pittsburgh's best player, and the best player on whoever wins the AFC East.
