View Full Version : NBA Breaking News, the Suns just made the dumbest trade in NBA history TVFactFan 12-10-2008, 07:20 PM They traded Boris Diaw and Raja Bell to the Charlottle Bobcats for JASON RICHARDSON?????????? Not understanding that trade ESPN Big C 12-10-2008, 07:47 PM This is a bad trade, but not the worst in NBA history. Wreckless 12-10-2008, 08:46 PM Yeah, not the worst but VERY dumb. Raja Bell is a defensive specialist and Boraw is good off the bench, but Richardson isn't bad. Not worth giving up two little pieces to the puzzle though, especially when it comes around time for the playoffs. I was about to say, I thought you was gonna say they traded Shaq away HA. catlover79 12-11-2008, 12:20 AM Gee, Sol, how do you REALLY feel?? ;) Dutabi84 12-11-2008, 01:03 AM I take it you're not too familiar with Kevin McHale's work... Wreckless 12-11-2008, 02:19 AM Kevin McHale? what does he have to do with this? lol. Dutabi84 12-11-2008, 02:30 AM Kevin McHale? what does he have to do with this? lol. Yeah, if you're going to mention "dumbest trades in NBA history," you have to look at Kevin McHale. Drafted Ray Allen and traded him for Stephon Marbury. Traded Sam Cassell AND a 1st round draft pick to the Clippers for Marko Jaric (wtf?) Drafted Brandon Roy and promptly traded him for Randy Foye. Drafted O.J. Mayo, and traded him for Kevin Love and Mike Miller. Now technically the jury is out on the last 2 deals, but the way things are playing out now, those were deals that shouldn't have happened. Wreckless 12-11-2008, 02:34 AM Yeah that's true lol. Stupidity on his part. Big C 12-11-2008, 03:01 AM Traded Sam Cassell AND a 1st round draft pick to the Clippers for Marko Jaric (wtf?) The only benefactors of that trade are male fans at the Target Center if Adriana Lima ever shows up at a T-Wolves game. Don't forget he just gave GARNETT AWAY-lol Dutabi84 12-11-2008, 12:56 PM Don't forget he just gave GARNETT AWAY-lol Yeah, I wasn't even going to mention that, because it was a move that had to be done. Al Jefferson is pretty good, Ryan Gomes can be okay, but the rest of the pieces were total junk. Wreckless 12-11-2008, 03:52 PM Hey, they got like 6 pieces in return lol. You know that bald monster would of never won anything with Minnesota anyway. Garnett. Dutabi84 12-11-2008, 06:32 PM Hey, they got like 6 pieces in return lol. You know that bald monster would of never won anything with Minnesota anyway. Garnett. Oh, he certainly would have, if it weren't for owner Glen Taylor and VP Kevin McFail completely destroying the franchise. On top of all those blunders I already mentioned, they had that illegal contract with Joe Smith which ended up costing them..I think either 3 or 4 of their 1st round picks. And the few 1st round picks that they have had in the last 10 or so years have been terrible. They had no idea how to put a few talented players around Garnett to keep the Wolves competetive. Now if they had not made that trade with Boston, there's no way they would have won anything (not that they're exactly on the right track right now). Garnett's contract tied up a large chunk of their payroll, and they had a lot of their other cap space tied up in ****ty players like Troy Hudson and Marko Jaric. It was only fair to Garnett to give him a chance to win somewhere else. 70s show watcher 12-12-2008, 02:27 PM i heard on the news here in az that when steve kerr told boris about the trade he looked at steve and terry and said fu;;you and terry porter too TVFactFan 12-12-2008, 07:54 PM i heard on the news here in az that when steve kerr told boris about the trade he looked at steve and terry and said fu;;you and terry porter too I would have to Diaw is a damm good player Wreckless 12-12-2008, 09:03 PM Nash was really good friends with both Boris Diaw and Raja Bell too...so you know he was frustrated...Probably didn't cuss at the head coach or GM though lol..mainly because he wasn't traded like Diaw was, but still. 70s show watcher 12-13-2008, 12:08 AM I would have to Diaw is a damm good playerhe sure is isiahthomas 12-13-2008, 01:59 PM Jason Richardson is a good scorer but his defense sucks. I know he's happy to get outta Charlotte because they're never gonna win anything LOL. I feel bad for Raja Bell and Boris Diaw because they're good players. Larry Brown should've never taken the Charlotte head coach job LOL. Michael Jordan should've never taken the general manager job for Charlotte LOL. Let's not forget Michael did draft Kwame Brown when he was GM for the Wizards LOL. |
