I just checked one of the Streets of San Francisco box sets out of the library (mainly because Gregory Sierra was a guest star in one episode :lol:). I'd never seen the show before (it originally broadcast before I was born), but I watched a few other episodes and have enjoyed it. What a quality show...and it was interesting to watch Michael Douglas before he became, MICHAEL DOUGLAS. :lol:

Bridget Loves Bernie was a great show, finished #5 for the year but CBS cancelled it because they were getting a lot of pressure from religious groups. It made inter-faith marriage look too appealing. Hey, Meredith Baxter was sweet, blonde, beautiful and rich. Every Jewish guy I knew, including myself, loved her. So they made CBS take it off. It's a shame because that was a way, way better sitcom than some other CBS shows that had long runs (One Day at a Time and Alice for example). Based purely on quality as well as good ratings, the show should have run at least 5 years and taken it's rightful place as a sitcom classic.

Where isn't Robbie Rist annoying? :lol: I've never seen Bridget Loves Bernie, but would like to someday. I guess the chemistry between future spouses Meredith Baxter and David Birney made interfaith marriage look appealing - from what I've heard, anyway.
