For the fourth time in five new episodes The Big Bang Theory posted a series high in viewers at 10.5 million viewers. Here are the numbers from CBS :

THE BIGGEST BANG YET LEADS CBS TO A MONDAY WIN IN VIEWERS AND KEY DEMOS

"The Big Bang Theory" Delivers Its Largest Audience Ever

THE BIG BANG THEORY won its time slot in households (6.5/10), adults 18-34 (2.9/08), tied for first in adults 25-54 (4.4/11, with ABC), placed second behind "Charlie Brown Christmas" in viewers (10.50m) and adults 18-49 (3.7/10, -0.1 behind ABC). BIG BANG THEORY posted series highs in households and viewers.

Also note, the ratings would have and should have been higher, but for some local affiliates in St. Louis and Columbus, Ohio preempted the show to air some other garbage instead.

It's becoming routine with this show now, isn't it? Another week, another series high. I can't wait to see what ratings it gets next week.

CBS should be more than proud of this show, though. It's a ratings winner for them indeed.

Let me share this. I had e-mail contact with a very high CBS executive. I am talking one of the top people, and he told me they love The Big Bang Theory. That is almost a direct quote. The show is doing fabulous.

That's great - it's always good when a network executive likes watching a show they program.

Yes, but what he actually meant was the network loves the show, which really put a big smile on my face. He said, "We (as in CBS network) love The Big Bang Theory."
