Has anyone else here ever ordered from this catalog/website? If so, are they notorious for having things on backorder? Last year I ordered those helpful hint books about baking soda, vinegar, and salt. When I checked on the order status, it was backordered for up to three months. I canceled the order. Now again, I ordered a Christmas gift on November 3rd. Just checked, backordered til Dec 11th--I sure hope it gets sent out before Christmas! If it doesn't come in by then, I don't think I'll order from these people again. :(

Earlier this year, I ordered a lavender comforter set from Lakeside and it was on backorder. The first backorder date was only two weeks away from my order date so I waited. That date came and the backorder date was pushed back even further. This went on for 2 months (I really wanted that comforter!) until I contacted them and told them to cancel the order. They did and refunded my money.

I'm glad I didn't get the comforter from them because I received the sheets I had ordered at the same time and the quality was very poor. The fabric was too thin and the fitted bedsheet lost its elastic after a few washes. I wouldn't depend on them for a Christmas order because they hold your order for almost a week (the website will say "processing") before they ship it. Then once they ship it, they don't provide a tracking number so you can't track it. I don't plan to order from them again.

Thanks for your feedback, gidgetgrape! After this, I don't plan on ordering with these people again.....they are just too unreliable and everything on backorder just make me question how they stay in business. Thank goodness, what I ordered wasn't the main Christmas gift for this person.

I ordered some stuff on November 24 from Lakeside and there was a delay in my order. I'm supposed to get my stuff sometime this week.

Well for your sake Browneyes, I hope you get your order!
From now on, I'm gonna stick with the companies that have always given me good, fast service, not excuses.
