Robert Palmer (but I'm sort of taking a break from his material), Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Madonna, Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson. Always bound to change, though. 21 Chester Place 08-25-2011, 08:45 PM Madonna http://www.ooho.co/oohostar/staradmin/cateImage/Madonna-011.jpg andress_jade 08-26-2011, 02:57 AM It is really hard to choose just one but I will pick Michael Jackson. Michael is the male singer I love and I will go with Whitney Houston for my favorite female singer. It is a really hard choice to make though, because there are so many I like. But the one I have liked since I was five years old and will like until the day I die is Donna Summer. Her voice is still amazing and her music is just fun to listen to and timeless. AMackII 03-18-2018, 09:58 AM There a lot of great singers for me to choose. I pick Michelle Wright because she was at her very best when she perform her songs on her 1992 TNN Special & also won Top New Female Vocalist at the 1993 ACMs. JO Sweet Heart 03-18-2018, 11:10 AM My favorite singer and band is Alison Krauss & her band Union Station. I love AKUS too, but since you have put them out here already, I will go with my newest favorite singer as my most favorite, especially with them being someone who is not here anymore. For almost a year now, I have been absolutely crazy nuts over Steve Sanders of the Oak Ridge Boys, the one at the top of this picture. If only I had officially discovered the late beautiful precious before his suicide 20 years ago come June 10th of this year. :crying: :crying: :crying: http://www.historyforsale.com/productimages/jpeg/157006.jpg God bless you and his family and AKUS always!!! Holly (a fan of Alison since 1994) P.S. I have always been a fan of the first ORB song on the radio that Steve did the leading for, "Gonna Take A Lot Of River" that is, but I was only six years old when it first got released and so in the grand scheme, I missed out on so much by not being old enough to realize a lot of things and I hate it!!! :crying: :crying: :crying: Hawkee 03-19-2018, 01:30 AM I would have to say my favorite singer is Shirley Bassey because of her awesome voice and nobody can sing Goldfinger like Shirley Bassey can and she's amazing to listen to Bestie MA 03-19-2018, 06:55 AM Beyoncé tlc38tlc38 03-19-2018, 08:26 AM https://s13.postimg.cc/406hvfi13/IMG_2922.jpg AB 03-19-2018, 03:58 PM Don Barnes from 38. Tumbleweed1980 03-22-2018, 12:01 PM Yes! Thank you so much for mentioning that. I think it's going to be her first time singing there. I sure wish I could be there in the audience! I hope someone takes some photos of her concert and lets us know what all she sings. Thanks again! tlc38tlc38 03-22-2018, 12:07 PM Yes! Thank you so much for mentioning that. Unfortunately, I won't be there on the 15th but I will be on the 16th to see my 2nd favorite singer Pam Tillis....Dolly is my #1 singer! Oh, too bad you won't be there on the 15th. Sure wish I could be. Dolly is a favorite of mine as well. I have several of her albums in my collection. Probably my most favorite is her "Real Love" album. The first single to be released from it, "Don't Call It Love" is still one I love to listen to with the sound turned up. I'm hoping someday to finally see her in concert. Have you met her? Did you happen to see the video Sylvia released awhile back talking about the first time she met Dolly? I really liked it and think you might also. It's been good talking with you. Are you also a "Mama's Family" fan? I'm guessing you are from the photo you have displayed on your profile. I used to enjoy watching that show with my grandma. tlc38tlc38 03-22-2018, 04:29 PM Oh, too bad you won't be there on the 15th. Sure wish I could be. Dolly is a favorite of mine as well. I've never met Dolly but I have seen her in concert when she did her "Better Day World Tour" in 2011---that was a great show. And, recently I saw her in Dollywood...I was about 5 feet from her. I have met Pam Tillis once and she autographed a photo for me. She's super nice---a real down to Earth lady. Yes, "Mama's Family" is my all-time favorite sitcom. Svenfan1234 03-22-2018, 04:37 PM Carole King is my favorite singer of all time! James Taylor is my favorite male singer, but I do enjoy others like Elton John. If I were to list my least favorite singers, I absolutely hate Barry Manilow. One word about him: lame... Wawwie 03-22-2018, 08:38 PM Elton John Barry Manilow John Denver Whitney Houston |
