There's the classic episode where Charlene marries Dud (is that his name?). But did they get divorced......it seem later on Charlene was once again pining for Andy and in "Return to Mayberry", she seemed to be single.

She did the mountain divorce thing, but at the end, She and Dud got back together. This time, it was Bob Denver playing Dud Wash. I guess they stayed together since later on Charlene showed up with a baby girl looking for a husband. (for the baby) Dud was never seen again though. They sure picked the right name for this character. LOL

Thanks for the reply, Honeybea. I guess I must miss seeing those episodes in the reruns. For some things, it seems a proper explanation is lacking :lol:
