Saturday Morning TV: The Villains We Love .. to Hate

I have a confession to make. As much as I liked the heroes on Saturday morning TV, I often found my-
self liking the villains as much (if not more). Those were colorful (and funny) characters--and, let's face
it, without villains we wouldn't need any heroes! So, here's a salute to Saturday morning TV's greatest
villains ...

Here's my Top Ten list (off the top of my head and in no particular order):

Phineas T. Bluster (HOWDY DOODY)
Boris Badenov & Natasha Fatale (THE BULLWINKLE SHOW)
Snidely Whiplash (DUDLEY DO-RIGHT)
Dishonest John (BEANY & CECIL)
Biggy Rat & Itchy Brother (KING LEONARDO & HIS SHORT SUBJECTS)
Simon Bar Sinister (THE UNDERDOG SHOW)
Fibber Fox (YOGI BEAR)
Wile E. Coyote (THE ROAD RUNNER SHOW)
Reggie Mantle (ARCHIE)
Drakken & Shego (KIM POSSIBLE)

Boris & Natasha-The Bullwinkle Show, Simon Barsinister-Underdog, Yosemite Sam-Bugs Bunny, Alexandra, Josie And The Pussycats and Richard Harry Nearly-Linus The Lionhearted [Lovable Truly cartoon segments].

The Smurfs' Gargamel is the one I think of the most. I loved his cat Azrael too.

Lex Luthor (Superman - the 1990s Animated Series)
Swiper Fox (Dora The Explorer)
