That's too bad, I liked the Disney store, especially since my best friend is a huge Donald Duck fan. I'll have to shop for gifts for her somewhere else now. :(

That's cool Monika!! :D I have a Tigger doll that I bought from there a couple years ago. You know, the more I think about it, it really sucks that they're closing down. It was such a unique store. :(

I thought Disney Store had shut down a while ago. I remember not being totally interested in the store on the one time I went a few years ago and things there are incredibly expensive there. $20 for a stuffed animal? You have to be kidding me.

The Disney Store is such a fun store to go into. I will miss it.

i'm with ekkostar, although i do have a disney chase visa card that i earn rewards on and one of them was a disney store gift card i donated to my shelter. hope they'll be able to use it.

The Disney Store is such a fun store to go into. I will miss it.

Value City in Altoona PA closed last tuesday.
I dont even care for the mall anymore as they closed 2 of my favorite stores, Suncoast and The Dollar Store.

disney stores closing down? well, the one we have in central london on oxford street is always busy, especially at this time with the run up to xmas. if you ever visit london at some point, then pay a visit to the disney store over here.

I doubt Wal-Mart was even a small reason that Disney is closing. Their prices and being a niche store prob has more to do with it.

I just found out that Ross is also closing, along with Mervyn's and Circuit City.

We Lost Mervyn's a few year's ago.

Remember that "Stores Closing" and "Going out of Business" are 2 completely different things. Stores closing is just the company wants to scale down and close a few stores. Going out of business is the entire company has to shut down and they're done for good. I'm pretty sure that the Disney store is just closing a number of their stores. We had 2 in our area and one of them closed this summer. The other one is still left and I was just there about 10 days ago and it said nothing about the store closing. Also, Circuit City is just closing some stores NOT going out of business.

I know that Linens N Things is going out of business though. Now sure exactly when they will leave for good they have some good deals now!

It's sad that it's happening to so many of these stores. The economy really sucks now!
