How I Met Your Mother star Cobie Smulders and actor Taran Killam are expecting their first child.

Smulders, 26, who plays Robin Scherbatsky on the CBS hit, is due in late spring, Smulders's rep confirms exclusively to PEOPLE.

The couple met through a mutual friend, and have worked together on HIMYM.

I would imagine they're going to write Alyson's pregnancy into the show right?

People are guessing that they either shorten the season or film all their scenes way in advance. I don't think Lily will end up pregnant just yet, so hiding two pregnencies will be pretty hard. It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if the season was cut to 18 episodes if its for their pregnancies. But i believe I heard that this season was supposed to run 26 episodes cause of last years strike. IDK where I heard that though.
