Marvo301 11-25-2008, 06:28 PM You say 10.33 million viewers yet the article you quote says 10.03 million viewers. Which number is more accurate?(either way it's great numbers for this show) Just curios.

Sorry, typo. 10.03.
MrRetro_08 11-25-2008, 07:32 PM Great news :)
robyrob 11-25-2008, 08:24 PM it was ANOTHER great episode!!
Skywalker 11-25-2008, 11:02 PM :woohoo: I have a feeling the ratings will just keep getting better and better for this show! Last night's episode was hilarious, probably the best one this season so far. I lost track of the number of Star Trek references in last night's ep.

I would agree with you, because this show is really rolling. Lots of people are telling others about the show. However, with FOX putting House on opposite it starting January 19 the ratings will drop. House is a megahit show.

Are they moving Fringe to Mondays too? I'm a little behind. Someone point me in the direction of fox's january schedule, lol.

No Fringe stays Tuesdays after AI. 24 follows House on Mondays.

i have no problem with it because I can record both shows at once with the DVR, but FOX repeats the hell out of House so if you miss an episode it is never a big deal - so if I had to choose I'd watch Big Bang Theory over House.
Pavan 11-28-2008, 06:04 PM I wouldn't be worried much about House. That show is playing musical chairs for Fox the last two seasons. It's been moved like three times and the ratings are going down and it is down to just over 13 million now. It's not an 8pm show, but Fox doesn't realize it. Superbowl you said the same thing before the season started that you were worried about a Heroes recap episode opposite BBT. I didn't understand then why you were so worried about that and look at Heroes now...series lows the last three weeks. BBT will still get at least 9 million in the winter.
What I would be worried about for BBT is the spring ratings. It'll be lucky to get 8 million then. All shows will be down, but usually the sitcoms are worst in April and May.

You're absolutely right on all accounts, but I cannot find a person in the world that thought BBT could ever pull 10 million viewers up against DWTS in the Fall. The numbers are amazing.
Here is my new worry. The SAG strike. It looks more and more inevitable that there will be an actors strike, and BBT has the least in the can of any sitcom. If there is an actors strike we only get 3-4 new episodes for the rest of the season, and that would be a crying shame.
JulieSomoski 11-29-2008, 03:57 PM This show is amazing - and now with DWTS gone, it should be able to keep building at least until Christmas - hopefully it'll be able to maintain its 10+ million.
House is definitely not an 8pm - its getting 12 million, BBT is getting 10 million. It should be close for both shows come January.
Pavan 11-29-2008, 04:25 PM It's a repeat this Monday though.

There will only be one or two new shows between now and January. They only have 11 in the can right now with number 12 scheduled to tape on December 9. They will need to keep 1 or 2 for January since they do not return to taping until January 13 after taking a month off for the holidays. We already saw 9 of the 12 episodes so if you do the math, we will see only 1 or 2 new episodes in December. Furthermore, if there is a SAG strike in January, that means they would have only 12 episodes for the season...
ryan423 11-30-2008, 03:55 PM I know I read months back that this show would be affected by a SAG strike but many wouldn't. Some shows either aren't associated with the SAG and/or have tons of episodes in the can just in case of another strike...
Can anyone, maybe Pavan, compile a list with shows that wouldn't be affected? This would be a great blog story for the site as well!
