View Full Version : What is this thing we call life?
snowcreature23 11-25-2008, 02:40 AM Do we really know about life? Have you figured out your life,or where you want to go,things to see, places to visit? Or r u in a rut? Do you know what life is? Is there more to life? Then just we are people and alive? I try not to think about life, I wish we know how are life is going to be like when we get old. I sure don't want to have tubes or live in a nurseing home when and if I get old. Who knows they may still invent a pill or something so we don't have to die or get old.( if some people want to get old it's fine to each there own I always say) but, I still have alot of livng to do, I'm not rich by all means, but, there still a part of me that wants to see and do more things.
Theda Bara 11-25-2008, 03:30 AM Life, to me is very, very short. It is meant to lived by the fullest. I try to make the best of every situation. Try new things, try new adventures, meet new people and also try new things. Life is a great adeventure or nothing:)
treky 11-25-2008, 04:36 AM in the immortal words of Lou Grant:
"Life is like a sandwich. You're born, and then you die. Everything in between is just filler".
ekkostar 11-25-2008, 07:33 AM Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life.
Electric word life it means forever and that's a mighty long time but I'm here to tell you there's something else: The afterworld! A world of never ending happiness where you can always see the sun day, or night. So when you call up that shrink in Beverly Hills, you know the one, Dr. Everything Will Be Alright? Instead of asking him how much of your time is left, ask him how much of your mind, baby, because in this life, things are much harder in the afterworld! In this life... you're on your own!
When the elevator tries to break you down... go crazy!
(Sorry, I saw the title of the topic and HAD to do it)
Doodyville10019 11-28-2008, 02:32 AM If you ask me, life is getting more and more pointless each day. You're here - you die. In betweeen is you trying to keep up with whatever is 'hot' at the moment, following every rule and law the government throws at you (because most people are dumb enough to believe that the government knows more about living than they do), and being so self-reliant that you just want nothing to do with any other living being, unless you either work with him/her or you're related. Your creativity is constantly stifled, everyone's getting either hypersensitive or scared to death, and no one's polite anymore because they WANT to be - it's all about "image" now.
sunshinefizzy 11-28-2008, 08:30 AM We're born cold, wet and hungry then things get worse.
Sure people have their bad moments in life; but we still have good ones too and the good times is what I try to focus on until the good Lord takes me away.
MonarC 11-29-2008, 10:48 AM This is an interesting thread. Kinda deep.
It took me so long to be happy in my life. I am almost 30 believe it or not. Im finally at a place in my life where I feel happy. I really appreciate everyday that I have here on this earth. I would love to do more like travel the world, but my way of thinking is just take things a day at a time. Plan for goals that you want to achieve and work towards those goals a little each day. Life is so precious. Cherish each moment as if it were your last.

PunkyP0WER 11-30-2008, 08:48 PM i believe true happiness in life lies in family, self worth and religion. i don't believe its a fancy car, house or job but rather in being grateful for what you have and appreciating lifes little pleasures. what brings me happiness is spending time with my husband and dad and sister, looking out my window and seeing the 4 seasons outside. for instance when i put up my tree this morning i looked out the window to see the first snowfall of the season and it was something magical. watching my puppies play w/ each other so innocently.
MonarC 12-01-2008, 09:11 AM ^^ Exactly. We should appreciate the things that we do have instead of focusing on what we do not have.
robyrob 12-01-2008, 01:43 PM 42
MonarC 12-04-2008, 09:39 AM 42
What does that mean?
robyrob 12-04-2008, 02:33 PM What does that mean?
oh, that's the answer to Life, The Universe, and Everything.
littlebelle 12-04-2008, 02:46 PM I feel like I can never be 100% happy with my life- that's just the kind of person I am.
I've realized that life is short, and you only get one, so, live life to the fullest. Do something that you've always wanted to do, so that when you're laying on your death bed you will never think back and say "I wish I would have done that".
