I seem to remember this case about a man who terrorized an elderly couple for years on end by attacking the woman numerous times and leaving cryptic messages scrawled in crayon on pieces of paper and even on their wall in their home. One of the messages said, "Cheaper, but will do" and no one seemed to know the significance of the message. I can't remember any names of the victims but I really liked this case and was wondering if anyone had anymore information on it.
P.S. I'm pretty sure the cheaper but will do line was used because the guy previously attacked the woman and stole some things and then when he did it again (allegedly) the things he stole from the second attack weren't worth as much as what he stole from the first attack.
