Does anyone have any idea why there is such a delay in releasing season three of The Flying Nun onto DVD? It's been ages since season's one and two got released and I can't understand why they are holding back the show's last season from release

I don't know. :( Gregory Sierra guest stars in 4 episodes in S3, and I really want to see them!!!!

The 2nd season probably had low sales, so they are putting off the 3rd season. It is the same problem with All In The Family season 7 and The Bill Cosby Show season 2. I don't like it, once a studio commits to a show they should issue all the seasons in a timely manner. All we can do is wait and see what happens.

I have hope they will release season 3 because they released season 3 (and plan to release season 4 next year) of The Partridge Family. There was a three year wait between season 2 and 3 of The Partridge Family.

I think Sony has given up on this show as the first two seasons sold below expectations. Perhaps they will still come out with the last season or another studio will issue it, but it appears nothing will happen anytime soon. Keep checking tvshowsondvd.com, maybe one day there will be some news about Flying Nun S3.

It's too bad when a show had such a short tun (3 seasons is considered short) and they won't release it in it's entirety. Maybe SHOUT! should pick up the third season!

They should but i don't think it's that funny that show but not before classics like The Beverly Hillbillies,Bilko fully get released along with Perfect Strangers from the 80s and Night Court.

Antenna TV started showing the third season today!
The good news is the picture looks fantastic and they kept the original Screen Gems logo.
The bad news is that they are edited. I recorded both episodes and edited out the commercials and they came to approximately 21 minutes and 30 seconds.

I recorded the shows too but I'm not sure if I'm going to continue with it. 21 1/2 minute episodes means about 4 minutes of each show is cut, that's a bit too much for me. I'll probably just wait for the 3rd season to come out on DVD, I imagine it will get released eventually.

The Hazels that air during the week and on Sunday are the normal syndicated cuts 22 1/2 minutes. But the Flying Nun airings on the weekend are only 21 1/2 minutes. Not good. :thumbsdow
