Family Ties Forever!

Does anyone know how to find out if certain videos or the person posting them have been removed on Youtube? A Youtube poster by the username stay1347 had a lot of Family Ties videos posted on Youtube, however suddenly I can't find any of the person's videos or the person's page.

If you search that user's videos, and pull up the videos you want, if they are no longer their because they were removed, then it'll say so on the top of the screen in red. Just wait, sometimes people re-add the videos. That's been the case with videos I've looked for, and some that have left, and I found them later on from either the same user on a different account or somebody different uploading the videos, as a fan of the show.

Jenny, the clips were probably removed because Family Ties was produced by Paramount Pictures. The company that owns Paramount, Viacom, sued youtube over their having placed Paramount products on their sight. After that, all Paramount films and television shows were removed from youtube.

Actually, Viacom only owns Paramount's movie division, not its television
division. CBS holds that, having split from Viacom in December 2005

It appears that his account and those Family Ties episodes have
indeed been removed

That's why I hate Viacom, they want to make everything theirs.

If someone put copyrights on their vid, then they're fine.

Actually, it isn't Viacom in this case. Viacom no longer owns the Paramount
Television shows, just the Paramount films. CBS now owns the Paramount
Television library.

I thought CBS was still part of Viacom, though. Whatever. These mergers come around every three or four years now so I can never tell who owns what anymore. I know I'm sick of Viacom owning MTV's old material, I miss the Beavis and Butthead music video riffs that used to be on there because sometimes that's why I watched the show.
