so why is there no Unsolved on for the next 2 weeks? And the advirtisement yesterday said next week unsolved, CSI and Star Wars all my guide shows is star wars and a thousand episodes of CSI. Is this just a mistake?

I think it is a mistake. My DirecTV guide shows the same thing.

I don't think its a mistake. According to the tv listings on the SpikeTV website it won't be on at all this week. Not sure about next week. It seems they are showing a bunch of CSI's instead. I have no idea why.

LOL. Maybe they did maybe they checked out all the fan sites and the IMDB boards. There are a lot of complaints on the IMDB boards.

I'll be ok without seeing UM for a week and I can record some other stuff on my DVR.

I forgot all about the IMDB message board, I gotta check it out!

I just checked www.tvguide.com and Unsolved Mysteries will be Returning on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm CT Time on spike TV

Unsolved Mysteries Staff replied and said they won't be on for a while. I believe someone had posted a 9 hour marathon on November 28th . Spike sucks.

Yeah, when I watch the segments and catalog names, places, dates, etc. from them then I know I'm obsessed. I even got my GF hooked on them. My obsessiveness is rubbing off on her. :lol:

HyeTev, I also have a "directory" of every single UM segment that I own. To be really thorough, I have a description of each case too. My directory is about 30 pages long!

Interesting. I keep the list of names of the segments, but honestly, I kind of prefer not to know what's on what disc when I put it in. That way its more like a surprise when I see it, just like watching the reruns of the show was always sort of a surprise, if you didn't catch the opening. Even if you'd seen the segments before, you never knew which one was coming next. I liked that.

We have a cabinet at the bottom of our entertainment center that is completely full of stacks (get it "stacks", lol) of UM tapes and dvds. Its pretty scary when I have to go in there and look for something. :lol: As for the lists, I have an entire drawer (full to the brim) dedicated to my lists and other UM related things. I know I'm :crazy:.....:lol:

I don't think its a "mistake" at all per say. I think they intentionally omit the dates as to not to tip off the viewer that the cases they are broadcasting are for the most part over twenty years old. They want the show to look more current and not mentioning the dates of the cases helps advance this agenda.

something even stranger yesterday I was scrolling thru the guide and some of the dates when unsolved comes back it has cast as Robert Stack and not Farrina? Strange maybe their going to show some old ones too. Again I like that they've put Unsolved back on the air even if it's not as scary. Still pretty scary though. I wish everyone would quit gripping about it b/c I'll hate it if Spike pulls the show all together. I don't have the DVD's to keep me company

I couldn't have said it better myself! No, it's not the same without RS but I am so happy to see it back on! People have been complaining about Farina, Spike TV, showing old eppies not new ones, the set, what he wears, ect... Just be thankful that it's back on.:rolleyes:

I saw what you saw. It also credited Virginia Madsen.

I'm very doubtful Spike is airing old UM's from 1999, so I think it's just an error .

Unsolved Mysteries is back, and being a hardcore UM fan that's all that really matters no me. It will never be the same without Bob Stack, so they decided to change the format, what's the big deal? They modernized it (I definitely prefer the old style, trust me) but it's just something we have to deal with. I'm still going to watch even if Lance Bass was the host.
