Well this afternoon, for the first time ever in my life, I was given a surprise party in advance of my birthday (which actually falls on Thanksgiving this year). Never ever have I been the center of attention like that and it was very nice, fun, and exciting. Cake, ice cream and punch was had by all along with hats and those things you blow that stretch out, but these don't make that annoying raspberry noise  My nephew and two nieces helped me open my presents. My g/f was getting great photos left and right. A very memorable experience for me :)
So how about you?

i've had two- one for my 16th birthday & one recently back in may for my 21st birthday. my best friend threw it for me & had invited everyone including my family. how they planned that one & i never caught on, i'll never know. but i loved it. i think throwing someone a surprise party is really awesome; it's definitely something you'll remember.

Yeah. My family threw me a surprise party for my 18th birthday. It was held at my aunt's house and I thought it was only for my cousin who has his birthday a day before mine but when I went inside, everyone surprised me and I saw people from BOTH sides of my family and all of my closest friends there! Lot of fun.

Never. Probably has to do with the fact that I hate things like that where I'm put on the spot by a group of people.

Actually, yes, and I thought it was awful ! I wasn't dressed the way I would have been, and no one took pictures. :(

On my 22nd birthday I had just gotten out of the shower and had my night gown and robe on and in comes my husband with about 20 people to surprise me. It was so disorganized and last minute(he was very bad at this) he had my sister bake a birthday cake in record time. The candles were all melted and bent over being stuck in a warm cake.I was furious! Of course I didn't let on. ha ha He NEVER pulled that one again!

Now that I've had one......I don't feel the need to ever have one again!
I just prefer going out to a restaurant and having a nice dinner. I'm glad to have had one party in my life (well supposedly had one when I was 2, but who remembers that?? LOL), but it's now out of my system.
