I think what happened at the badmouth thread was because Wreckless and
some other people just wanted to get off topic because they did not like the
purpose of the thread.

For the Holidays I usually make fudge and divinity. I can also make a good German Chocolate cake with homemade frosting. I love all deserts and I have a big sweet tooth, lol.

Somehow this thread got bumped up and no one new is here...so I'll say, after decades of eating tooooo many sweets I don't do that anymore. I buy a dark choco late tasty bar now and then and my latest "fix" are honey graham crackers, they do the sweet job.

I've gotten rid of a lot including booze and wines...

My favorite pie I would have to say is a Boston Cream Pie and I first tasted one when I was a little girl in a restaurant once and I was impressed with the flavor and it was pretty good and it has been my favorite pie since but I rarely get Boston Cream Pies because they are hard to find and it's the only pie I like. But my mom is a pie nut and she buys banana cream pies whenever she finds them on sale but when Thanksgiving comes around Mom buys apple pies and cherry pies too rather than pumpkin pies because it is very difficult to find good sweet potato pies and pumpkin pies today

Your post finally showed up very late, apparently for some inexplicable reason.

Here are some family favorite pies:
My niece: pumpkin
My late dad: pineapple (somewhat rare pie)
Me: pecan

I also like the traditional Greek desserts that are sort of like cakes, like baklava and others made with walnuts & honey. There isn't a cake or pie that I would not eat. All of them are great. My brother on the other hand would never touch coconut cake but I love it.

Once in a while for a treat I'll have a creamy and indulgent slice of French silk pie.

I could go for chocolate pudding on Graham cracker crust-no whipped cream. Have not had it in years.
