This hits close to home, as this is the church I have spent the last nineteen months living and volunteering.

And I don't mean to brag, but I own those hands holding the toy in the news video. George Costanza would be proud!

Sad when people steal from a church. How did they know the toys were in the cabinets
We definitely suspect it may have been someone who would know the toys were there. Whether that means it was a kid or one of our former rehab clients, we don't know.

That's sick, who does something like that? Hopefully whoever did it gets caught.

We often leave our church open so people can come in and pray, or drop off food for the needy. Last year our PA system was stolen. I know how you feel. It is sad, trying to help people, while at the same time being treated that way. It's just a sad reality in life. But your church must continue to carry out its mission, just as ours did. All the best to you and your church.

I wouldn't be surprised if the thief attempts to unload the stuff on eBay or Craigslist.

Brad, that is just so sad, and I'm sorry to hear it. I know how devoted you are to your church. I hope those in your area read this and step up to the plate and donate more than they normally would.

That is so sad. I hope the culprit(s) are caught and brought to justice quickly!!
Thanks, gang. There is a lot of good news, much of which I'm about to post on the church website. Prayers are pouring in, as are donations. And we've been going through surveillance footage, and we're pretty sure we know who did it.

I hope they catch who did this soon. It's sad that people feel it's OK to steal.

We had that problem many times at my church. (Well, my church is near downtown!)
