when My Dad goes, we only go once a month, maybe more, unlike down my Mom's house where she gets a little bit of each, on a trip every week. I love to get soda, breakfast stuff- poptarts, toaster strudel, pancakes, waffles etc. nice steaks, tenderloin, we get great deals on water, TP and soda- things around the house. A lot of times, my Dad will spend at the most $500-800, mostly $400-500 on Acme groceries. What about you? What are your favorites, what do you usually get from the supermarket and how much do you generally spend, or how often do you go? You don't have to answer about how much you spend, but I'm curious as to what everybody gets and likes, meals wise, snacks wise, and everything else.

i go to super walmart maybe ever 2 or 3 weeks. i take $200 with me and get more than my moneys worth. since my husband and i have different tastes we each have our own list. he likes seafood so i get him shrimp, shrimp cocktail, he likes these michelinas shrimp alfredo frozen dinners, oscar mayer fast franks and the ham and roast beef deli creations sandwiches. i like to get a variety of things cereal, bagels, cream cheese, totinos pizza rolls, activia yogurt, rice or potatos, the last trip i got turkey breast, stuffing, cranberry sauce, provolone cheese and sourdough bread and made a thanksgiving sandwich with all that on it. so tasty!!

Love toaster strudels! We buy bagels and cream cheese, waffles, pancake mix, bacon, eggs and that sort of thing for breakfast. I bake breakfast cakes and muffins too. For dinner it's steak, marinated steak tips, chicken, pork chops, scallops, etc. We eat a good amount of potatoes. I bake them, mash them, roast them with onions. Lots of produce, melon, apples, oranges, fresh veggies. For snacks, we're big on ice cream novelty items. We spend about $150 a week on groceries, and that includes the cat food and supplies.

I spend between 30 and 50 dollars a week at CVS, but I make an absolute killing there with their BOGOs, combined with coupons. I stock up so much that my closet looks like a CVS, lol. Then there's the liquor store for him, beer and wine. He's not a big drinker, but he enjoys a nice glass of red wine. Food is so expensive these days.

I go grocery shopping every weekend, I tend to spend between $200-$250 a week. And that is partly because I get my meat from a butcher and that cost more then the grocery store meat. And since my family has been hit hard by cancer in the past few years I try to by organic foods and those cost a lot also.

Cool thread. :D

I usually go grocery shopping once a week. I usually always get fresh fruits and veggies. Ribeye steaks sliced thin. Chicken wings and Thighs. Salmon, Talipia, or catfish. Then I always get a few Healthy Choice and a couple of frozed pizza. Pasta & sauce is always a must with garlic bread. :D This thread is making me hungry. :eat:
